i got 20 yrs left of working for a living bf retirement if i dont die first. as much as i would love to be retired today, i got 20 long years left. it feels like a damn prison sentence. 20 long years.

    haaha

you wanna laugh on Broad St in Philly by Center City, there's a Popeyes and on the outside of the building is this slogan "We do good ba-you" instead of "by you," or "bayou" like in New Orleans. Ive been to other Popeyes and they don't have this slogan. haha.

Their chicken is crispier than KFC. They have great fries and sides too. KFC and that bucket traps the steam in and that ruins the chicken! it makes it all wilty and soggy.

too bad we're never reaching them. i already spoke of my hatred of NASA and a what a waste of money it is. We will NEVER reach these systems in a rocket with a person in it. Never. We don't have the energy resources i.e. POWER to fuel it!

If someone or some species is out there, we will never know it.

    weekends or national holidays??

red-what kind of work do you do that you're never off? it sounds like a chain gang?

My view on this, it doesn't matter what we think about NASA's budget, they don't care about our opinions.

You don't know what will be possible in 100 years. Picture this, it's 1917 and someone is telling you about tv, internet, the moon landing, cell phones, facebook lol etc.

I had a conversation the other day with a newfie working at a fast food joint, he was telling me how to get to nfld. It's a 21 hour drive to cape breton, this is where you would drive your car on the ferry boat. The cost of parking your car is $80, then the cost of the 8 hour boat ride, which is another $80. It's an $800 flight from toronto, and 3.5 hours to get there.

It's a 1.5 hr flight from nfld to ireland, no wonder canadians don't travel much in canada.

fair enough, but to reach the last planets in our own system can't even be done. we would need to consume every known natural power resource on the planet to send 1 ship only once and not come back, to reach our farthest planets. to reach these new ones is impossible. maybe 500-700 yrs from now if Earth doesn't explode first.

tv, internet, cell phones are inventions. im talking about discovering a power source so powerful to send a man into space or like SW and just fly a regular ship -the Falcon or X-Wing through space. Not happening.

wait a minute. 90 min to ireland. that's across the Atlantic Ocean. I can get from Philly to Chicago in 75-80 min. Is that right Skinny? That seems fast.

My cunt cousin who i had a falling out with, lives in Newfoundland. She would say bf we stopped speaking to each other that from Maine to Newfoundland was 7 or 8 hrs by ferry. I was like by ferry? Why can't you fly from Philly to Newfoundland? It's longer than i thought. My sister went there 4 yrs ago and it takes 1 whole day just to get there and it's at least 2 or 3 flights. that alone is idiotic. fly from philly to newfoundland. done. 2-3 planes to just get there is silly. I can get to California in 6 hrs. That's the other part of the country. Newfoundland is above Nova Scotia and Maine! It doesn't seem that far away, but somehow is. I'll never go there as long as my cousin lives! I hate that bitch!

$160 to park on a ferry and then ride on it for 8 hrs. that's damn extortion!

I think she meant a boat to cape breton, from there you would drive a car or bus it to maine.

When I was flying to germany, it took 3.5 hrs to get to nfld, they had a live map showing where we were. It took about an 1.5 to reach shannon, that map could've been inaccurate, it was 2003.

it just seems fast but i know from an old story that Newfoundland stretches out to the right far past the coastal US, so the distance in the air to Ireland is less. My sister went to Ireland last summer with her daughter as part of her HS Honors Class as a chaperone etc. She flew from Ireland to Newfoundland and then to NY, I think. Something like that.

Just keeping an open mind, it could be 500 years, it could be 200 years. The resources needed to get there might not come from earth. The resources could come from mars or (not to sound like a treky), the technology could be passed down to us from aliens.

  16. Catfish Guest

haha. i'll only see it from the grave! unless they perfect the aging process or cloning.

  17. skinny123 Guest

The grave is just an earthly term for your material body. There's a whole new set of planets out there, you won't need rocket fuel.

  18. Catfish Guest

    oh jeez. ok.

  19. skinny123 Guest

Lol, aristotle defined death 500 years before jesus walked the earth. What happens when water evaporates?

Greek philosophers figured out the distance it would take round the earth with a stick in the sand.

  20. Catfish Guest

what?? now you're talking crazy skinny. a stick in the sand? didn't they think the world was flat? no, that was columbus years later. lol.

defined death - your dead and not alive. see i can do that too. hahahahah
