I had the same kind of dream, I still have to finish off that one class in personnel that i used to skip at 8 in the morning.

 

They were filming a movie up the street from my place last night. I was walking by and I see these two yellow NY cabs. They had a prop that was suppose to be a NY subway street entrance. I stopped and looked at it, I said "where's the uptown bronx and downtown brooklyn?" The whole crew erupts into laughter, good ole canadian joke.lol

 

the former mayor of philly put such a high tax on filming movies in philly many companies said FU and filmed elsewhere. there's a bad mob movie called 10th and Wolf (i know where that is and who was in that Mob) and guess where the movie is filmed? Not at 10th and Wolf streets in South Philly. It's filmed in freaking Pittsburgh! Now the new Mayor cut the tax back, but many companies dislike Philly now due to the former Mayor and tax hike up.

 

There's a lot of bad mob movies, real bad.

 

yeah but 10th and Wolf was a real story and South Philly Mob. the movie however was bad and filmed in Pittsburgh! This mob operated in the 80's and 90's. i was curious to why they never shown any of the philly monuments in the movie or skyline. it's pittsburgh! ugh.

everyone loves Goodfellas. it's so over the top and not accurate i liked it when it first came out, but now i hate it. I think Ray Liotta's acting and narration ruin it.

i like Donnie Brasco better. Most of my South Philly buddies hate Brasco and love Goodfellas. ugh.

 

I love the music in goodfellas and even bronx tale, donnie brasco was ok too. I see them every so often, I can't sit and watch the whole movie anymore, always on the go (right now ordering a souvlaki on a pita). We forgot to mention casino (pretty good one), there's only one real good one, we all know what that one is, the gadfatha.

On another note, my uncles in the hospital with lukemia, been spending time there, they're giving him 3 to 6 weeks.

casino is good too. i think pesci is better in that than he is in goodfellas. 2 things ruin casino - sharon stone's acting and joe pesci's death scene. i hate and can't wait it. the 1 guy Frankie is Frank Vincent, a South Philly actor. He was also Billy Bats in Goodfellas. I hate him. I see him and see him with that bat on Pesci. I hate that entire scene.

 

Frank Vincent is the guy that pesci brutally beats up and stabs as well as puts in a trunk in goodfellas, so it's movie revenge. He was also phil leatardo in the sopranos, and he beats up his brother in law and kills him.

Thanks for the prayers, it sucks getting old, he's 82 and in a lot of pain.

 

Looks like Canada isn't alone in it's love for bacon.

Yesterday I went out to watch the game at the basement grocery store bar. This guy wanted to go into the ladies room, he said that there was a friend there. They said, "no way jose", the manager told him not to go in. He said that he identified as a woman, sorry, get lost.

I asked the bartender to change it to the leaf game from the raptors, he said they were wrapping it up. I said, pardon me? How dare you refuse a leaf fan his rights to watch the game!
I called the manager, I was given an apology, and the channel was changed immediately. *SHADES*

 

the pig should be on money and the dollar bill. it's the greatest. im actually a food guy and watch the cooking shows and diners, drive-ins and dives and the best bacon is wild boar bacon. a guy in SD uses it mixed in with his burgers and people go crazy for it. Different taste and fat content too.

 

A&W's really taking off here, I always get the bacon and egger. You have to try italian bacon on the bbq, see if the butcher has it.

HAHA- I didn't know you had them up there. i've only seen one and that was in a mall i used to live near 20 yrs ago. haven't seen one since.
