my ex brother in law had a great, great grandmother that was 102 in the early 1980's and i met her when he was still married to my sister. Man she was great. Smart as a whip and rattled off historical events like they were nothing. She was like "oh the Titanic...that sank when I was in High School!" She was in her 30's when the Great Depression came and an old lady by the time WWII ended. It was great speaking to her.

 

I could spend hours talking to people over 90 years old. You could really learn a lot from them about history and the way things were. Young people are self-absorbed, older people are too much into their money and property to have any interesting diacussions. The elderly really like it when someone is interested in talking and listening to them.

This lady was born on 1899, let's say she had a sister that was born in 1916 and had a daughter in 1954 at 38, right now that lady would be 72, not that old, and she could have a few younger or older.

 

72 is old. haha.

my Dad who died in 87 was born in 1922. My Uncle, his brother, was a decorated WWII Vet, who lived to be 93 was born in 1919. He was awesome.

yeah kids with I Phones and electronics don't know zip about any history. hell my Dad hated the VCR and thought that was too much technology for him! hahaha

My dad was born in 1935, he'll be 82 this month, he's on the internet everyday.

 

My parents died bf the Internet was invented, so they never saw it. My Mom was born in 1933. I'm sure with some tutoring, I could've taught them to use a PC. However the VCR in 1986 was the bane of my Dad's existence. Switching from using the VCR to the TV was his downfall. hahahahaha

What I do know is that your regular ID, alfred41, is not banned and has not been banned, for any of that period of time.

You hang out, post on this thread and a couple others and it's been maybe a year since you had any issues on this site. What possible reason would I have had to ban you?

 

It's just a glitch, it happened to me a couple of times on my mobile. Anyways, christmas is just around the corner, time to start getting into the holiday spirit, ho ho ho, where's my ho? Lol

 

By ho, I'm talking about the saturday night hoes. The best part of living where I am, it's a non-stop party. If I was 30, I would be out every night. Given my age, I don't go too crazy as I would if I were 15 years younger. The thing I like is that whenever I want to have a good time it's there. Just in three months there was, blue jays in the playoffs, leafs and raptors starting their seasons, grey cup, mls finals, wjc and winter classic. Totally forgot about the world cup.
