Protestors shouting "not my president", uh yeah, according to the electorial college, not the popular vote. These 5 year olds need to get a life.

It should be noted that unless these protestors are in California their claim to a popular vote majority rings hallow. Clinton appears to have taken the popular vote majority by roughly 200-250,000 nationwide. If you subtract California, (CA went overwhelmingly Blue), then Trump took the popular vote in the remaining 49 states by roughly 2,000,000.

If these protestors remain lawful then I believe that they represent a positive element in the U.S. system. They humanize our right to vehemently disagree; as long as the overriding principle of the peaceful transference of power is observed.

Most protests are in vain, a lot are paid. Not much sense to protest a lawful election in a democratic country. If hillary won, the truck hats would be doing the same thing.

It's more of a mobilization than an actual protest.
Immigrants and minority demographics are scared, and the neighbors see it. The protests are mostly there to let people see a group to enlist with. Some sprung up on a dime, others were planned ahead. The social media campaign will be next. They lost because less than half the electorate showed up to vote more than any other factor. The protests will stop soon and specific activist groups will spring up throughout the next couple years to make some noise on specific policies. Same thing the right does. Because it's urban, it bumps into more people and looks sloppier. Same thing different details in my opinion.

I don't see anything wrong with peaceful protests either.

How is damaging 19 cars at a portland dealership a peaceful protest?

I think this election has everybody burned out, problem is, I think it will be the topic of converstation for a little while more. The public can't get enough of this and CNN won't change the topic. I just have this to say, trump is a businessman first and there are motives for him wanting this position. Why would he spend $100M of his own money just so he could get a job that pays $400k a year? Sure, he'll bring industry back by cutting corporate taxes and setting the environmental laws back thirty years, bring back the smoke stacks. Look for the russians, chinese and middle east to buy into trump hotels for doing business with the US. I could see trump lifting the sanctions against russia that obama put in to punish russia for their invasion of the ukraine. I wonder if they'll start smoking in planes again, maybe hospitals.

And as everyday goes by, the protests will grow less and less intense until there is no more. The millenials will move on to another trend real quick, they won't want miss out and look uncool. There's one planned up the street from me later this week, I'll make sure I'm well out of the area.

Speaking out to express dissatisfaction with the course the country has taken is a right that every American must cherish and defend. This is regardless of the message being expressed. In the vast majority of cases this allows law abiding citizens to let off steam in a harmless way. It also gives voice to opposition views. The later point is critical to successful democracy.

I wonder how the average citizens of countries around the globe would react if there were widespread protests in the USA to their decisions. No doubt there would be cries of revulsion over American meddling in their affairs.

The garb of ugly Americanism is no more attractive when worn by people in other countries.

Unless the mayors smoking crack it's usually a slow day in canadian politics. I saw nothing wrong with harper, but women liked justin's hair and his dad was the PM from 68 to 81.

Btw, this is an exact quote for the trumpster back in 2013 when the late rob ford was the mayor.

"Who would you rather have dealing with the president of Iran, obama or rob ford? My money's on ford."

Steve Bannon, looks like the KKK has kicked down the doors in the white house. At least he's safe now, they won't think he played them.

Last night was the new class to the Hockey HOF induction. I was happy to see Eric Lindros make it. As a Flyers fan, Lindros didn't have any help and didn't get the credit he deserved for carrying the team for 8-9 years. Didn't think the Hall was ever going to let him in. Happy to see he made it.

well, it was a weak class too, so that helped. i was shocked Mark Recchi didn't get in yet. If I was him, I would be pissed. What else does he have to do to get in? He has over 1500 pts, 3 Cups etc. With heavier classes coming, I doubt Lindros would get in, so this year, in a weak class was it or nothing.
