The people doing the bitching weren't buying that anyway. All they have to do is some minor damage control, let a little time pass.
Once the quarterly comes out and it shows that sales weren't effected the stock will easily recover.

So many people with money walk into these sporting goods stores having never heard of this machine, let alone being aware of the controversy and end up buying one.

at $2000 per bike plus $ for the special shoes and $ for the videos as they are not free, this is not a cheap bike! i think it's outrageous to charge that for an exercise bike. wtf?

The person handed over an envelope with the fake cash, then quickly disappeared before she realized they were fake.

I got a different take. Some people happily pay for an autograph. This is an autograph that's framed with some visual distractions to spur conversation. Hmmm, I'll take two.

You have to be a little known and have a reputation before people will pay any significant amount for your work,

    About Sassan Nassiri
I'm an Iranian/Canadian artist living in Toronto, I studied art both in Iran and Spain. Some words about me by Aydin Aghdashlou my first art teacher: Sassan Nassiri is an accredited artist, who is recognized as one of the most elite and capable artists of his generation. He has unique professional abilities, is modest about his proficient skills and knows painting deeply. A great number of his works are landscapes, simple and mostly melancholic with plain looking brush strokes. Deep sensibility of Sassan Nassiri’s work materializes in details like using thick and thin colours, brush traces and complex combination of colours. He is the painter known as ” favourite painter of painters “. His works are the images of private whispers of an artist who knows his work, himself and the history of art. His works are sensitive, melancholic, dignified and masterful.

It's like music, there's singers/artists/songs that millions of people hate but yet have made millions of pesos.

Someone could paint a giant portrait of Bernie Parent (circa '76), and it would only be worth maybe $300.
The art community has a sophsiticated way of valuing art. I look at it like this, if there's paintings that are selling for $20M plus, then there has to be paintings selling for $4K.

Also, if this is a young artist and he really builds a name for himself in 20 or more years. The $4K painting could go for a hell of a lot more.
