Here's my take on what happened: The dad had a life insurance policy, the mom recently received a payout. Her son brett asked her for his portion of his inheritance. The mom agreed to give him something. The brothers found out and flipped out, the mother changed her mind. Brett goes to his moms to pick up the money, his brothers are there and an argument breaks out. In a fit of rage he picks up the crossbow and kills them

Lol, but it's true that she doesn't remember me from high school. That could be because of all she's been through.

 

how long ago was this? were you that memorable? i only know a select few from HS as we were a close group. now a buddy from the group knows a ton more from HS as he stayed local after graduation and i didn't. he tells me all the time "we went to HS with them." so what! that was in 1990 and if they weren't part of our crowd, i don't know them. i heard of the names, but don't know shit about them.

 

We only had 500 students at this school, everybody knew everybody. Even students that I didn't hang out with or was good friends and we had one class together remembers me when we bump into each other. I've run into people after 25 years and we'll have a 10 minute conversation, and we weren't friends. There's one guy that owns a tailor shop and we didn't hang out and he sold me a suit for $900 which he sold to a raptors player for $1800.

 

Let me add, I've brought up so many names to her and she doesn't remember anybody, not just me. She's a two time cancer survivor, had a sister that committed suicide, her dad passed away, her ex-husband cheated with her best friend, maybe that had an effect on her.
