That was awesome Tim. I've never seen an acoustic guitar rocked like that the sound although processed was fantastic and the fret work on an acoustic to achieve that sound outstanding. Back in the early 70's Robin Trower was often compared to Hendrix, although to be fair to Jimi, nobody came close with their original music however Trower came imo the closest that I remember. It's too bad sound system and recording technology isn't what it is today because so many of these classic bands from that era gone by so often their sound is muffled by attenuation or micpads to reduce feedback. So many of these old recordings don't do these bands justice. Here is a Trower clip from that era 1975 "the Fool and Me" off one of my favorite albums "Bridge of Sighs"
Couple solid tunes I caught on the ride home yesterday that you don't hear too often on the radio -
Oh my God tuna, I LOVE this band!! I've never heard of them before. Thank YOU for bringing such great music into my life. This isn't the first time you've done it and I'm not going to forget ...
I've been hibernating for the past 4 days. We lost our power in a really bad ice storm on Thursday and only got it back on Sunday evening. That's a long time to lug water up from the sump hole in the basement ... but I have to say that I didn't miss the lack of Internet or tv. I'm a quiet girl at heart
Relatively new band from Iceland I like them a lot too. They formed about 3 years ago. Great sound soulful vocals.
From Iceland? So cool! On an unrelated topic my Internet was fried from the big ice storm so I won't be around much until it's fixed. We had 4 days without power and now another week without Internet. Wahhhh ....
LMAOOOO!! God Tuna, that's so funny!! I'm going to steal that and put it on my FB. And good news ... I'm back.
What do you think of Tyler jumping over to the Country and Western scene?
This is EL-VY Berninger from the National. I love the way he crafts his lyrics. Like the line from Bloodbuzz Ohio with the National "I still owe money, to the money, to the money I owe" and then the opening line to this song "Scratched a ticket with a leg of a cricket and got a triple Jesus"
Here's a new artist from the UK from his debut album to be released in Feb 2017.
