Rest in Peace Stevie Ray Vaughn....... I saw him LIVE in 1985 @ the Commodore Ball Room.......UNREAL show and he was brilliant.
His name is Brannon Mcleod. He has several covers, all very good. He also has his own band called Dimphonic. Sounds a lot like Deftones. Here is a Deftones cover he did, but I gotta warn you, it's kind of heavy. He also does all the video editing.
Here is his disclaimer... **Note: Each instrumentation of this song was transcribed by ear, so no official chords or tablature were followed. No samples or sounds were taken or used from the original song. Each part in this video was recorded live in one take and every sound was 100% homegrown through a years worth of technical research, planning, and intense trial and error to get as close to the "Aenima" feel and vibe as I could. After the video recordings, three more guitar tracks were layered in with different amps just as Adam did on the original song to get the final guitar sounds, and a double vocal track was layered over the pre-chorus sections and the "I'll Keep Digging" section just as Maynard did on the original song. Everything was then mixed together and volumes/effects were automated throughout. I DO NOT IN ANY WAY claim the rights to this song, and thanks to Tool for being the timeless, revolutionary, and genius band they are.
Van Halen Great band, funny guys, In 1978, I partied backstage with them when they first came out at a club in Schaumburg called B.ginnings. They opened for the band "Texas". After they came off the stage we saw the door to the backstage area and figured WTF let's check it out what do we have to lose we already saw what we came to see. My buddy Norbert and I just walked backstage like we owned the joint and partied all night until they cleared everyone out a couple of hours after the club had closed. It was a night to remember no doubt, it's too bad I don't remember a lot of it, however, I'm sure I remember more than Dave lol
