what was the name of the pretty young woman Al Pacino danced the tango with in the movie Scent of a Woman?
I'll throw one out in ig's stead... In Monty Python and The Holy Grail, what is Sir Robin's third question at the Bridge of Death?
Mathew Modine, Patrick Swayze, Emilio Estevez, Nicholas Cage, John Cussack, Mathew Broderick, Sean Penn, Michael J. Fox, Scott Baio and Tom Hanks all turned down the male lead role in what movie.
Mathew Modine, Patrick Swayze, Emilio Estevez, Nicholas Cage, John Cussack, Mathew Broderick, Sean Penn, Michael J. Fox, Scott Baio and Tom Hanks that would've been the worst Top Gun ever. The movie is so good and so bad as it is. Modine is one of the worst actors in the 80's and 90's. Swayze was a bit old for it. Estevez would've been a disaster. Cage could do it. Same as Cussick. Broderick is a dork. Couldn't see Penn in it. Fox is too short and Hanks was coming off BIG then. No shot at seeing him in a action/bad ass picture. And Baio was too busy banging his co-stars on Charles in Charge. No grit from his pretty boy ass.
i figured someone would mention that. ok joe vs the volcano, volunteers and 2 yrs after bachelor party. hanks was a comedic actor. not the fighter pilot banging his instructor type.
And yet at some point he had to make the leap from comedy to serious so why could it not have been then? After all he did Sleepless in Seattle in 93 while also doing Philadelphia in the same year. Romantic comedy to serious all in the same year. I cant stand Cruise so I think top gun would have been better with almost anybody but him.
yeah but who could do it but him? he seems like the perfect fit for it. i wish cruise went back to dramatic roles. he's all action now.
