the ending of no way out still pisses me off... so what happens to him ? what happens to gene hackman's character. so what he was the guy in the photo. doesn't prove anything. the movie just ends with him driving off. his entire career basically over unless he goes back to washington and the pentagon! ugh.
LOL! You're not very good with open-ended movies, are you? You said the same thing about "No Country for Old Men" and Anton Sighur.
do you write down this stuff? i barely remember my rant with no country.... i don't mind as much for no country... they spend 30 min on this whole developing of the picture to find out it's costner and do nothing with it. he's a award winning navy man who just drives off. only hackman and then thurgood of the CIA knows the truth. what will he do? expose hackman? just find new work? and the 2 guys who saw him with the dead woman who were searching the pentagon for him. now what? sorry axe - just too many what ifs for me. for no country...he just walks away with a broken arm...
At the time I found Dicaprio's death offset the non-joy of dead babies floating in the water. I confess, I like Dicrapio for a while now though.
*DING* i can think of plenty of actors that never made me think "he sucked in this one". also - u say all actors are good in some movies and then u mention keanu reaves? *ROFL*
i can think of plenty of actors that never made me think "he sucked in this one". oh come on... val kilmer or george clooney in the batman movies? adam sandler in anything but happy gilmore? any of the SNL people we mentioned this week? i bet we can find someone...
lol, wtf, cat? must be a reading problem here. did i say i can't think of any actors who sucked in some movies? i've never watched a single batman movie. val kilmer i consider to be average, clooney i don't have much of an opinion on one way or the other. to me, adam sandler categorically sucks. the SNL poeple we talked about suck. i'm really not clear what any of that has to do with me thinking some actors don't suck. *DONT_KNOW*
WHO CARES...?!? That isn't part of the movie! LOL - if you were in Stand By Me, you would have been with Corey Feldman and Jerry O'Connell after Wil Wheaton told his barf-a-rama story: "...And then what happened?"
very ? you know me by now so does anything really shock you? i watch enough movies to know of plenty of actors who suck in movies. worst is when the movie sucks as well. hahahah axe--i wanted the movie to end with all plots finished and not open. in that movie, there is a ton not answered. it's like the director said "fuck it" and im ending the movie right fucking now! as a watcher, that's what i felt like. it's like thanks for nothing.
Costner played Robin hood in Robing Hood Prince of Thieves but the movie could have been so much better with their first choice. I feel like this is an easy one but who was thier first choice and why could he not do the movie.
no idea jean. never heard of that one before. robin hood sucked... and that stupid bryan adams song too.... ugh.
So you want to know if we, as a civilization, eventually stem the tide of escalating violence...? I don't think that chapter of the book has been written. Note: don't bother watching "All the Pretty Horses" or "The Road" (or, if they're made into films, "Suttree," "The Crossing," or "Blood Meridian.")
Well, the theme of destiny (for individual characters as well as civilization in general - "It's the dismal tide. It is not the one thing.") is pretty prevalent throughout.
I tried to watch the road a few times but just couldnt get into it. The original choice for Robin Hood was Mel Gibson but he was already set to film to Hamlet. Would have been a much better movie Mel as he could have done an English accent something Costner couldn't do. Costner was so horrible at the accent the scrapped it and just had him speak in his normal voice.
gibson only works as robin hood if he's badass william wallace mode. costner made him act like he was soft and a little light in the loafers... hahaha christian slater is as bad as costner is in that movie too.
I actually didn't mind Robin Hood but then I have a habit of liking movies most people don't lol (Van Helsing). There was another Robin Hood released that year staring Uma Thurman that was pretty good in many ways it might be better.
