i forgot about del toro and bardem at the time i asked the question, although ive seen both movies. basinger was the one i was looking for as it's an older movie and most don't consider it a true bond movie. i tried to pull a fast one. haha

  2. i consider it a true bond movie. the only thing it lacked was the approval of a corporate copyright holder, and the theme music (for the same reason). everything else about it was as real as it gets.

  3. M.I.A. Unknown Soldier MIA's C.P. Falcons

Never Say Never Again wasn't bad and yes, it should be counted in my opinion.

  4. M.I.A. Unknown Soldier MIA's C.P. Falcons

I just hope that they don't screw up Spectre's return to Bond films in this upcoming one.

MIA-the trailer looks awesome for it. i have high hopes...

Let's hope for the best. No excuses because there is so much you can do with Spectre that the sky is the limit.

i hope c. waltz is a good villain. he won 2 oscars by playing the same over the top character in 2 tarantino movies. not much range, so i hope he shows us something.

    more trivia....

donald sutherland was in animal house for a few scenes.

did he take his salary offer of a) $75,000 or b) a take of the box office proceeds?

i know the answer but $75,000 if that's right, is a ton of money for 1978 and he was barely in the movie!

He took the flat fee.....which was 35K. Instead of 2% of the gross.

The film made 141 million. Sutherland would have made 2.8 million had he taken the points.

i thought it was $75,000. oh well. $35,000 for what little work he did was a ton of money back then when stuff cost a ton less.

the movie Goodfellas was not the original title of the movie. why was it changed and what was the original title?

  12. M.I.A. Unknown Soldier MIA's C.P. Falcons

I looked it up. The answers are interesting.

    well what are they ?

Wise Guys but they didn't want it confused with the TV show or a previous movie with a similar name. Pesci's mom thought he did a great job but asked him if he had to swear so much.

  15. Catfish Guest

    correct ! nice job.

In the movie The Big Chill, flash-back scenes with the deceased friend were cut, but you do see him as they're dressing the body for the viewing/funeral.

Who played the deceased friend? (note: it's someone VERY famous).

  17. Catfish Guest

    easy - Kevin Costner.

  18. lol - and yet, in spite of that, the film disappointed me. you'd think costner dead would make it a winner in my book ;)

like a wise message board poster said about Titanic - i don't know how anyone can say this film has a sad ending. they kill dicaprio.

lulz-i take it you don't like costner ... ? to each their own. like all actors - he's good in some movies and bad in others. overall he's ok and certainly not the worst actor ever. he's far from keanu reeves and nicolas cage.

i liked him in untouchables over his baseball movies.

It was better when it came out the year before when it was called "Return of the Secaucus 7."

I liked his earlier work: Untouchables, No Way Out, and Dances with Wolves.

I used to HATE DiCaprio...now I actually like him.
