?? it was in the movie and that's why he laughs. he looks down to his feet and is not wearing his boots and laughs. hence - he didn't die with his boots on.
No, I meant the explanation isn't in the movie...I know the scene is in the movie, they just don't give an explanation.
gotcha - new question -- in the Kevin Costner movie Wyatt Earp - what play is he watching when he first sees, but not meets, his future wife Josie Marcus?
Man, I just don't know anything about that movie! I only watched it once, shortly after it came out. Hardly remember it.
haha. i like it. it's very long but gives a more thorough look at his life bf Tombstone. The 1 part they left out was he was a pimp in Peoria, Illinois as a young man. The rest was solid.
I remember it being much more in depth, but I had already seen Tombstone by then and the performances just weren't as good. After seeing Kilmer do Doc its hard to watch anyone else do it.
agreed. Kilmer was robbed of a Best Supporting Oscar nomination. Hell he should of won the damn Oscar. One of the best performances in a movie - supporting or not. Tombstone is more campy and over the top than Wyatt Earp. Both are different, but I do like both movies in their own way.
I like Tombstone a lot more. If you want a good read about the gunfight at the OK Corral and to get some good background info on Wyatt Earp, check out "The Last Gunfight" by Jeff Guinn.
ok-back to some trivia -- this is a tough one - in the classic 1987 movie the Untouchables, what was George Stone's (Andy Garcia) real name? When he meets Connery, he knows he's lying and asks his real name, which was Italian.
wow igloo. i didn't think anyone was getting that. you must be an Untouchable! "you're a lying member of a no good race!" "it's better than you, you stinking Irish pig." "oh, i like him!" the field is yours! nice work. *YAHOO* *DANCE* *HI* *DRINK*
Actually, I thought that was an easy one. He gives his name as "George Stone," but "Guiseppi Petri" is Italian for "JOSEPH Stone."
you're kidding me? how the hell did you know that? that's good stuff. the question could be easy if you seen the movie enough times like i have. its an obscure question as the movie came out in 87. and i thought he says "Padrei." No T.
I took Spanish for four years in high school; a lot of Italian words aren't far off. Actually, it's "pietra" (not "petri") that's "Stone," but close enough. Spanish it's "piedra" - Roberto Duran was "Manos de Piedra" - "hands of stone." First names are easy: Guiseppi = Joseph, Giovanni = John. Giorgio would have been George.
