correct. they were a 20th century invention, not 1880's! not sure why they would make Quaid even wear them! ironically the modern day invention came out in 1929, the same year the real Wyatt Earp died.
more aimless trivia... in the movie Caddyshack, how much money does Al Czervic bet Judge Smails he will miss that short putt?
no, no, no. you're thinking when Danny Noonan has a long putt at the end. earlier in the movie Judge Smails has a gimme 2 footer and Al walks up to the green and as soon as Smails is about to hit it he says "hey Smails $XXXX bucks you miss that putt!" when he misses, he tosses his club in anger to the clubhouse and hits a woman.
thank you Jean. I see someone remembers Caddyshack! this is a tough one. In the underrated and excellent movie Sleepers - what is the proof of evidence Robert Deniro uses to prove the innocence of the 2 men on trial ?
An easy one but it's in my head because I caught the end of it last night flipping channels... In GoodFellas, what are the only two things that would ever prove Henry Hill even existed?
birth certificate and arrest record. not used in the movie was also his military service record too! hmm-too bad 70% of Goodfellas is fake and made up.
axe-i read that, but they were to improve eye sight not to block UV rays's. 3 sites all said modern day invention was 1929, so i went with that, not the 15th century.
Well...not really. Eyeglasses to improve sight were developed in Italy in the 1300s. Lenses that were darkened to conceal the eyes go back to the mid-1400s. So they certainly were available - and in use - in Wyatt Earps' time. Dark blue or black glasses were developed especially for people who rode trains. To be fair, they didn't start gaining popularity until the 20th century, and especially after WWII, when special sunglasses were created for aviators.
im going with the 20th Century. How would Holliday get them? No one else in the movie is wearing them? Lets move on.
i believe I answered UDog's question about Goodfellas. next question -- this is a tough one. In the underrated and excellent movie Sleepers - what is the proof of evidence Robert Deniro uses to prove the innocence of the 2 men on trial ?
I've actually never seen Sleepers, although I've heard from a number of sources that it's a really good movie.
Axe-have i ever steered you wrong? very good movie. underrated as all hell and a great cast to boot! highly recommended! A+++
correct, but the evidence i was looking for was he pulled out the Knick tic stubs. in the movie the Karate Kid, what state is Daniel Larusso from when he moves to California?
