ok - no more shawshank... this one is a tough one -- in the color of money - what trick shot player makes a cameo as one of the pool players paul newman beats and when the pool player says "i didn't deserve that." newman responds "yes you did." who is the trick shot players i am talking about.
nice axe! good one. and of course the great Willie Masconi is in the original... "Willie, give him the steak money." Newman taught Cruise how to shoot pool for the money and only 3 tough shots were not Cruise's. The rest were. Pretty impressive. The 2 became fast and lifelong friends and Newman also got Cruise into car racing as well. Newman shot most of his own shooting scenes for the Hustler.
ok new one -- what is the name of the educational department on the t shirt Eddie Murphy wears the entire time he's in Beverly Hills in Beverly Hills Cop Part 1 ?
Nice...! I didn't remember he was in it. I know Jake LaMotta was. And Jackie Gleason was also pretty good with a cue.
yes Jake was in the back as a bartender i believe. Willie was the guy with the white hair. at the end, he's sitting in a chair watching their games. yep, he was awesome. although he was a tv star, he was Oscar nominated for this role. in fact, the Hustler is one of the rare movies that all 4 main actors were Oscar nominated!
Just read a great tidbit about The Hustler. Mosconi trained Paul Newman in shooting pool, and Newman got to be pretty good. He got cocky, and challenged Jackie Gleason to a game - for $50. Newman broke, nothing fell; Gleason then ran the table! Newman paid him with 5,000 pennies! LOL!
YES IGLOO is paying attention! nice work. more trivia -- in the movie Major League - what baseball system did Ricky Vaughn come from bf the Indians?
"Bed-Stuy" is short for Bedford-Stuyvesant - it's a rather tough section of Brooklyn. Or was - it's been going through gentrification in recent years.
u dog is right. that was an easy one and one of my favorites. what is the name of the indians GM in Major League? They say his name a few times...
