Thats it = monica lewinsky. In the end, how did Clintons affair take priority over a reporter being shot twice in the head (thats a good trick, twice and ruled a suicide) 7 years after he reported on CIA activities to raise money? I don't want to spoil the rest so I'll stop here.....The movie again, was based on actual events.........
more trivia... in the movie the wizard of oz, the role of the tin man was supposed to go to buddy ebsen of the beverely hillbillies, but he could not do the role. why? and he was not doing another movie at the time.
I had forgotten that Ebsen was initially tabbed for that role, but when you brought it up, I remembered reading about some sort of adverse reaction to something in the makeup.
what role did kevin costner turn down to make waterworld? the movie was not a box office hit although it was nominated for some oscars. it became a huge hit via cable tv. the role he passed on is one of the actors who was in it biggest roles.
Ah then it must have been the lead in Shawshank Redemption or I guess it could have been the part of Red but Im guessing the lead. Im going with shawshank based on prison movie and huge hit via cable tv because I think it is on TBS once a week lol.
it's shawshank and it's tim robbins role he turned down. and yes due to video and cable shawshank is a cult favorite now.
lol axe. i stopped watching AMC years ago, when they started showing commercials. they started commercial-free, but when they changed, it was like they were making up for lost time - it seemed like they ran more commercials than anyone. believe it or not, i haven't seen shawshank yet. yes, i know it's a very highly thought of movie - last i looked, it topped IMDB's list.
not bad, axe - close. burton was one of the people offered the role before connery, but not the first.
