i just read an article from some jackwagon that the Usual Suspects was great when he saw it in HS in 1996, but the more times he watched it he hated it and thought it was a bad movie that made no sense. He couldn't believe Kint would tell the cops anything fake or not and to get out of there fast bf the fax comes in revealing who he really is. Perhaps. But he needed to buy some time as Kujan had him brought in the first place. he needed to tell that story until he was cleared and allowed to leave. Roger Ebert said he couldn't follow the script and had a notepad to help him. really ? i couldn't follow the matrix and had it explained to me. that was tough. the usual suspects is not hard to follow. im shocked a film critic of ebert's nature had a hard time with it and only gave it 1 and 1/2 stars. it's hailed as a classic and won 2 Oscars. Guess his review was wrong.
