Ford's movies are usually good, I have to say....... *THUMBSUP* I've been watching some movies on Netfilix. Netflix is great. I watched a couple movies yesterday and last night after the Pens victory. I just rented Pay the Ghost with Nicholas Cage a couple weeks ago from Redbox and was surprised to see it on Netflix already. It's pretty good...... Edit: This should be on the other thread. It's not exactly trivia......
Thats what I like about him. He's not afraid to take a chance on a script if he likes it......One of my favorite actors..... *THUMBSUP*
and due to shady managers and accountants, he lost 3 homes due to not making payments and a ton of other stuff. the guy makes $10 mil a picture or higher. how the hell do you lose 3 homes? just make more movies and pay them off. i swear, these actors hire accountants who are stone crooks. do some homework first people. no way cage should be foreclosing on homes.
some trivia -- the one piece of memorabilia you cannot sell ever is an Academy Award in any category. You can give it to someone or have it handed down to someone in a Will etc, but you cannot sell it. It's in their bylaws. I read some people have their Oscars in boxes, their bathrooms etc. Unreal. Anna Paquin has hers in a shoebox in her closet. ? I don't get that. Are you ashamed of winning one?
Some people think it's a popularity contest, or that acting is its own reward. If they're not impressed with accolades or awards or trophies, that's fine - no skin off my nose.
I've seen interviews where he says he won't turn a role down if it fits in his schedule...no matter how small the role or what the movie is. That's pretty cool and explains why he's in so many weird movies.
samuel l jackson is the worst offender of this. he's in everything and not even the lead. he makes a cameo if he can!
Samuel L. Jackson is doing commercials now. He is also in the H8ful Eight. Not sure if it's out yet or not? But the funny thing is, in the commercials, they say it's one of the best of the year! Ummmm yeah, right!......
I had not even heard of the hateful 8 until there was a controversy over Star Wars getting played instead of it at a theater. Tarentino is angry that Disney basically bullied the theater into playing FTA for a longer period of time on its one screen. Saw the trailer will check it out on red box but not heading to the theater for it.
in the movie Rounders, Matt Damon asks John Turturro for $15,000. John responds "I need a blowjob from ... " what famous model known for her lips was Turturro referring to?
Didn't see Rounders. The H8ful Eight looks like a cowboy type movie. I wouldn't even rent it at Redbox. I'll wai till it hits the tele, which shouldn't be long. But it's one of the best of the year! Edit: Maybe because it's only January?
igloo-Rounders is a great movie. Very well done and excellent roles from Damon, Edward Norton and John Malkovich. The H8teful 8 is just another overzealous exploitation movie from Tarantino. Netflix is where I will watch it.
"13 Hours" looks like one of my type of movies. Some of my favorite movies are war (terrorist) movies. I also like good science-fiction movies. Btw, High Anxiety (Mel Brooks), I would put up there with Caddyshack and This is 40. Those might be the only 3 comedies I really like. Just saw a new commercial yesterday with Ben Stiller, Will Ferrell and Owen Wilson in a new comedy? YIKES!!! *HELP*
yeah zoolander 2! Owen Wilso, who I already spoken about looks like a total assclown. I didn't see the first one, so I am not seeing the sequel. never heard of high anxiety. I will check it out. thanks.
we have the other thread for movies etc. this is for trivia... and the answer to the above question is Christy Turlington.
