that's right. what are the names that moonlight calls out when he reaches the field of dreams? it's 3 names...
Don't think it was Hodges - he came along much later. But Jackson and Wood sound right. How about Eddie Cicotte? Wasn't he the pitcher?
no. he walks past shoeless joe. he faced cicotte but never calls him out. gil hodges is right as is wood. im talking about when he gets to the field he calls out 3 guys. wood was first, hodges was last. there is 1 other guy....
"ty cobb wanted to come, but we couldn't stand the son of bitch when he was alive, so we told him to stick it." hahahaha in a "field of dreams" where the hell was babe ruth, lou gehrig, honus wagner, christy mathewson and walter johnson? smokey joe wood? please.
What's wrong with smoky Joe Wood? Hardly surprising Moonlight would mention him - another guy who didn't play as long as he should have.
LOL! I don't think the movie was making a case of "X over Y." If so, what was Eddie Cicotte doing there?
well he was on the black sox team that was there with jackson. i agree with you, but if i had a field of dreams, i would have the babe, lou, honus, christy and walter.
I have Smoky Joe's signature. I looked up his numbers yesterday wondering why he was mentioned. And Wood's stats are excellent......They are still trying to make a case for Gil Hodges to get in the HOF today and many believe he should already be in.......
?? i just checked. i saw some as low as $9, many around $30-60 and as high as $150. based on what you said, i was expecting a lot higher.
the veterans committee failed to vote someone in the hof again this year, so i doubt hodges ever gets in.
It is widely known that Harrison Ford broke his foot while filming Star Wars TFA what is not as widely known is that J.J. Abrams also was broke his back on set. When the door fell on Ford's foot Abrams tried to lift it off him and in the processes broke his L4.
yes - I saw that months ago....crazy. and ford survived a airplane crash too. his 1 seater plane malfunctioned and it crashed. thankfully he survived.
