Forgot about - The Game The Thin Red Line Mystic River I was given a good review on 'All the King's Men' by a friend that has been pretty good with suggesting movies over the years but I've never got around to watching it.
The Game was good. But it had Michael Douglas in it mostly. Douglas usually puts out good movies.......
i hear ya. it's funny, he has 2 Oscars for roles that weren't as great as some of his others. Either they were payback Oscars or he truly won them over the other 4 nominees, but he's barely in Mystic River to win Best Actor.
very solid list. to see him be Jeff Spicoli vs anyone else and to pull it off was amazing. to most young actors, that could've typecast them forever. he broke out of it quickly.
how much money was in the briefcase in it's a mad, mad, mad, mad world ?
not trivia but movie fun - at the end of The Breakfast Club, the guy who picks up Anthony Michael Hall at school is John Hughes, the films director.
two good ones. highly recommend both. for it's a mad, mad, mad, mad world - prepare to laugh your ass off. funny as all hell and appearances by very famous comedians and actors from the 50's-60's. stand by me is based from a novella by Stephen King. Good movie as well.
some more trivia tidbits... in the Movie A Christmas Story, when Ralphie and Randy try to see Santa, they think they are in the front of the line, when a guy says "hey kid, where do you think you're going?" Ralphie responds "to see Santa." The guy scoffs and replies "the line starts here and ends way back there..." that guy is the narrator of the movie and the author of the screenplay and book Indiana's own Jean Shepherd.
lol I had no clue on one because ive never watched it and the last time I watched stand by me O'connell was still a fat kid
jean - like lulz - it's a mad, mad, mad, mad world is highly recommended. prepare to laugh your ass off.
Theres not many comedies I like because they try to make people laugh by acting goofy. Which I don't find funny. Caddyshack is one of a couple of my favorites. Onto the question.......What team did Moonlight Graham for a half an inning and never got to bat? What ballpark did Costner and take Terrance Mann too? There were 3 whispers in the movie telling what Costner to do. can you name the 3?
Onto the question.......What team did Moonlight Graham for a half an inning and never got to bat? What ballpark did Costner and take Terrance Mann too? There were 3 whispers in the movie telling what Costner to do. can you name the 3? Guesses on the first two: NY Giants? Fenway Whispers: "If you build it, he will come." "Ease his pain." Not sure of the third. "Go the distance." ???
