LOL at Al Michaels last sentence "...and that puts them in field goal range".

The running joke with the crew at Sf when the Bears were at the 2 yard line: "Almost in Parkeys field goal range"

He did by Bears QB standards....

He also did by kid with 10 college starts and 12 pro starts coming into the year.

I expected if Trubisky took a step forward this year, we would win 9 games (after Mack). We did WAAAAY better than that. He did way better.

For 59 minutes and 57 seconds of that game, me, tuna, and 66 thousand live fans had a fucking blast. Trubisky missed some throws. But he played the hand he was dealt and had a very solid (win worthy) performance.

Trubisky took not only a step, but 2 or 3 this year.

I have been as critical of him as any Trubisky hater on any board. But, this season was not him. He had a shitty game here or there. But he was part of the reason we won as much as almost any other player on the team was.

Trubisky should not be a topic of debate with Bears fans.

Nagy's playcalling, our RB situation, tight end, FG kicker, RT, keeping Fangio, key resingings, lack of low round picks, salary cap... those are things we should be worried about.

    QB/Trubisky?

Not even in my top 5 anymore.

It’s very alarming that with less than 40 seconds left in the 4th quarter and the clock running, Trubisky had no clue what to do and that he needed to line up the team and spike the ball. Any dumbass knows to that. Instead he’s just standing around looking towards the sideline for help and forced Nagy to waste their last timeout after 8-10 additional seconds ran off the clock. Personally I don’t think the guy is the brightest bulb at all no matter what his physical talents are. That really was the difference between settling for a 43 yard field goal and having at least 1 to 2 additional plays to get closer knowing we have the worst kicker in the league

Nagy should have called a TO right away. You do that and you have time to run a play over the middle of the field and spike it if successful. You then have time for a sideline or endzone play.

Clock management falls on the coach here because Trubisky is coached to take all his cues from Nagy.

I don't like the fact that he called a time out there , immediately or 5 to 10 seconds later doesn't matter . I would have spiked it or ran another play , taking a TO there ( it was their last correct ?? ) eliminated the middle of the field for another 5 to 8 yards perhaps so dip chit could sneak in just inside the post. Now spiking it only gives them 2 plays to get more yards , Mitch was feeling it so I think he could have gotten at least what they ultimately end up with anyways.

Clock management has been a issue with Bears HC's for many years now , Nagy is just falling in line , they continue to burn a TO in every 1st quarter of every game after a play more that like 30 yards.

At what point does Trubisky lead, get up on the ball and spike it? It’s obvious Nagy didn’t want to take the timeout there otherwise he would have the second the receiver was tackled. Instead Trubisky didn’t even know he was supposed to spike the football when the clock is running? Any idiot in the stands knows that, I’d hope Nagy doesn’t need to tell the #1 QB in the draft. Instead the clock was running, Trubisky was standing there clueless looking around and Nagy was forced to take a stupid timeout.

If you call a TO immediately the middle of the field is still an option.

I hear you but the system they have in place has Mitch looking to sideline on every single play. If that's his mindset that is what he is gonna do.

I honestly don't think Trubisky was clueless. Because he looked very under control on that final drive to me.

If he really needs his hand held on every single play (pretty sad really) then he should have been told the play before to get up on the ball and spike it. If I (Nagy) decide to call a timeout I will but if the clock is running your first concern is to spike it.

I wouldn't call it hand holding. He's just taking his cues from the sideline...no different than a catcher in baseball looking to the dugout for every pitchcall.

I totally agree with you...it should be more fluid and thought out. I just don't think Mitch was clueless. I think he was following what he is supposed to follow.
