Agreed. Where we disagree is that, outside of QB, the 2019 Bears are not as strong as the 2018 Bears.
How much of the defensive woes are due to the lack of Hicks though? 2006 Bears defense without Tommie Harris kind of thing. Hicks and Mack opened up lanes for the other bums. Noquan has also been shit though around the same time for his personal issues.
Outside of Roquan, it's definitely possible that some of the problems are the result of Hicks' absence. But the lack of turnovers really is the most glaring difference between last year and this. That can't be all due to Hicks.
Sorry but you have no right to that statement. Go look up the standings, the NFC is stacked. As things look its very possible that not 1 but two 10-6 teams miss the playoffs this season. Like I said, they'd be in the hunt for a wildcard, but no guarantee whatsoever. I always love how previous SB's get easier to win the more time passes. The Saints in the dome would've been a very tough assignment. We would've been underdogs. Belichek would take Nagy apart in a SB.
Could, should and would covers a world of difference. They'd be on the road against any of these teams. If they even got there.
I know the NFC Standings. And I do think with a good QB we are a 10-6 or 11-5 team, which puts us firmly in Wild Card contention. So if we had Watson and our D last year, you think we lose to the Saints in the dome? The team that lost to Jerrod freaking Goff? And you think with Watson we only put up 3 points in the Super Bowl? Not saying we would have beaten the Pats, but we would have been in that damn game if we had a good QB. I 100% believe that and always will.
again...those weren’t the words I typed. All I’m saying is it’s not like last years team was flawless.
I was sharpening some of my knives last night - I make and collect both Kitchen and weapon knives from all over the world. I was doing what I call a laser chop test. That is where you take a really thin piece of "non-grain" paper, like news paper, and hold it with your thumb and forefinger. Then you chop. A really sharp knife won't make it through. But a "lightsaber" sharp knife will slice right through and make this awesome sound. Like a snake hissing. Sadly, I had been drinking and chopped about a quarter inch of the fucking tip of my left thumb off. Thumb nail and all. It's amazing the amount of blood that pours out of a thumb when you've been drinking - alcohol is a great blood thinner. Not just down to the bone - past the bone. I sliced through my thumb bone. And now I'm deformed. That fucking hurt. - Well still does. But it was less painful than coming to the realization that we have another fucking bust as a QB that we sacrificed our future to get. It's amazing how I can feel so fucking depressed after a divisional win. With all that said, we're 4-5 and believe it or not, still in mathematical contention to make the playoffs. I suspect the Bears will hit my credit card for playoff ticket charges next week.... Kinda like dipping my open-wound stubby thumb into some lemon juice.
Pretty sure they'll just refund the card when they don't make the playoffs, no big deal. Whats that, the thumb? Oh, yeah thats fucked. Seriously tho, thats nasty man, hope its stops hurting soon. Im glad its knives you collect and not guns, you would've shot your balls off.
I thought this was starting out as an infomercial and you were gonna sell us all some steak knives. I was ready to buy some too.
Dude that is so fucked up, I'm so sorry. WTF if they can attach a slong why not a finger? Because in most cases except perhaps in mine, it's even smaller.
