Bully for you ! Would it surprise you that, in my lifetime, I have run a multi-million dollar company with three manufacturing plants and almost 5,000 employees? While I did not own the company, the owners entrusted the day to day operation of their company to me because I had over 30 years of experience in virtually every facet of the organization. Only a fool would turn a deaf ear to people who actually do the work and have ideas as to how to do the work better, faster, safer or more efficiently. They are the people with the true expertise. But a QB with 4 years of experience in the NFL has zero experience in seeking out individuals for a front office or Head Coaching position.

He isn't jumping ship to go anywhere, he has three years left on his current contract. Either the Packers are nice and give him a new contract, he plays under the current contract, the Packers trade him or he retires.. only 4 choices he really has.

 

If not, well, Murphy is making a big assumption. Ultimately, it’s up to Rodgers to decide whether he wants to return. If he retired or tried to force a trade, there’s not much Murphy can do about that.

That’s the conundrum. You have a talent that SHOULD probably demand two firsts at least, but he’s 37 years old, would probably have a say in where he goes and could isolate fans if he chooses that path.

It’s a no win situation except for his wallet. It would tarnish his career.

Montana’s situation is different because of Young, same with Favre when Rodgers came around. There isn’t anyone waiting in the wings. Rodgers leaves and the Packers playoffs hopes diminish greatly.

Watson, Stafford and Jimmy G (could be cut) are likely the only passers that get moved this off-season.

About a third of the league has reached out to the Lions about a potential Stafford trade, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Among the teams that have been mentioned as potential trade partners for the Lions are the Colts, 49ers, Broncos, Patriots, Football Team, Panthers, Raiders, Rams, Texans and Cowboys.

The Lions are said to be seeking at least a first-round draft pick for Stafford. With so many teams interested, they may be able to get more than that.
