They can pretty easily make the cap room. I can’t remember the details, but I watched a podcast the other day and they broke it down. If they don’t trade for him, it won’t be because of cap space. I have a feeling the Falcons are going to want too much back in draft capital.

Reports that I read last night are that the Browns are shifting towards Joe Flacco.... The news feed is so boring between the end of the first week of free agency and two weeks before the draft...

But, it is QB news, so I guess it's relevant for this thread.

Perfectly relevant. Flacco back in Cleveland makes all the sense in the world. IMO, It would be optimal.

Source: Raiders, QB Geno Smith reach two-year, $75M extension

HENDERSON, Nev. -- The Las Vegas Raiders and new quarterback Geno Smith have agreed to a two-year, $75 million extension, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The contract has incentives that could push the total to $85.5 million and includes $66.5 million in guaranteed money, the source said.

Smith, 34, is now contractually tied to Las Vegas through the 2027 season. He had one year and $31 million left on the $75 million contract he signed with the Seattle Seahawks in 2023.
