they may have sold out but if it was cold like it has been, I bet those seats weren't filled. Attendance is low the first few weeks, that's just the way it is.
shit i was there for the cliff lee opening in 50 degree weather and 30 mph winds. i froze my balls off. it's about dedication and commitment igloo. something pirates fans lack.
I think it has something to do with being smart also Fish? If your going down to see a game and spend $100.00, fight traffic, etc. and freeze your balls off? I would say It's not worth it!
$100? my phils tix were $26.50 for outfield seats. traffic - i could walk over to the stadium so either you live really far away and $100 better be a top seat close to the field. either way you're showing your true colors here igloo and fan support. what kind of igloo are you? i thought igloos liked the cold weather?
everybody sells out opening day. I was in Philly for opening day during their playoff years. It was windy with flurries. I guarantee that if was second day of the season me and a shitload of others wouldn't have been there.
Kyle Schwarber is out for the year with a torn ACL and LCL after a collision with Dexter Fowler in the outfield Thursday night.
PGH-during the phils playoff run the stadium was full no matter what. my point to igloo was the amount of empty seats at pnc park for opening day. same for many places. fans just don't show up!
The Cubs have a better record with Schwarber in the lineup but they won't miss him........ 7-4 Bucs on top of Tigers. Was 7-1 while the Tigers are not folding their tent.
got 2 solid pitching performances. even a blind duck finds food once in a while. it won't last. go see their bullpen's performance vs cincy last week. bwahahahahahaha
They'll miss him, but it isn't "devastating" to the team. Individually for Kyle, yeah it sucks, the team would be better with him available, but I've seen the word devastating thrown around to describe the impact on the team and frankly I disagree.
Cubs are getting no hit by Finnegan. He probably won't go 9 with his pitch count (4 walks and Bryant reached on an error).
Never mind. David Ross, a career .200 hitter or so, got a hit in the 7th. The Cubs score 2 in the 7th, 3 in the 8th and Hector Rondon closed it out in the 9th.
