number of home runs is a stat. number of doubles, or stolen bases, or walks, or runs scored - those are stats. WAR is a conclusion based on an arbitrarily weighted formula, which differs depending on who u talk to. to me, that's not a statistic.
well many people call it a stat and use that to show how much a better player someone is versus another using the same WAR %. I'm not saying it's right lulz, but if the voters are going to keep referencing it, then why did trout lose then when he led both war and ops.
If Tulo gets hurt in the future as he has in the past they may still lose it, they're committed to a lot of cash.
He can be solid there, but ive seen him become very up and down during the stretch of a season. He can look like an ace one game and get lit up the next and stay stuck in that pattern for a while. Maybe in Toronto, with good defense and a change in scenery, he will excel.
my thing with toronto is they are trying though. they fell short in the playoffs and adding to the puzzle. i like the chavez move.
wow really? doesn't seattle owe him like $200 mil ? to me he went there so tough cookies. unhappy there. you're getting paid $200 mil + to play baseball for 6-7 months a year. get bent!
but he agreed to go there. no one forced him. everyone knew it's a tough place to hit hrs. he took the money and ran. i don't feel one bit sorry for him.
