Soon as i heard he was hired, my first thought was, good luck with that. He doesnt rank high on my list of managers.
My bet is the marriage lasts 2 years. Either he kills Harper or he gets fired for Strasbourg's arm falling off. I can see it from Dusty's end, a talented team ready to win now. And I guess the Nat's think he'll be no nonsense (lol, yeah 2004 had more nonsense then any other Cubs team in memory). But if you are the Nat's how do you trust Dusty with those pitchers? Just retire Dusty.
exactly right mary. i think he can kick harper and the hitters for getting out of line, but he is going to ride those arms right into the Doctor's office for Tommy John! Yikes.

Will - I like Gordon but that's a lot of money. He's not even a big HR guy and seems hurt a lot. I'm shocked he opt out.
RIP Tommy Hanson. 29 yrs old. He died due to catastrophic organ failure. They have no idea what caused this... Very sad.
jeez - another one bites the dust. this is why i say the money paid to guys when they can go in 2 seconds is so risky! however the cardinals got ponies ready to be studs, so i don't worry about them.
