The Blue Jays have announced their rotation for the ALCS against the Royals, which begins on Friday in Kansas City. Here's how they'll line it up ... Game 1: Marco Estrada (2015 regular season: 181 IP, 3.13 ERA, 4.40 FIP) Game 2: David Price (220 1/3 IP, 2.45 ERA, 2.78 FIP) Game 3: Marcus Stroman (27 IP, 1.67 ERA, 3.54 FIP) Game 4: R.A. Dickey (214 1/3 IP, 3.91 ERA, 4.48 FIP) If the series goes longer than the mininum four games, then this arrangement would allow Estrada to go again in Game 5 on full rest, with Price and Stroman lined up to go in Game 6 and 7, respectively.
As expected. The roster will be announced tomorrow at some point and Loup is on it. Gibby said there won't be many changes. That likely means Tepera may be replaced by somebody. Buehrle likely not on it and nursing a shoulder injury. Also he said he isn't retiring just yet. He will look for a one-year offer and if a team will start him he will consider playing another year.
If Lackey and Garcia both leave I would consider it very likely he would end up in St Louis for a year.
ugh 4 teams i don't care about in the final 4. really hate the mets so i can't cheer for them. i didnt mind toronto till game 5 and bautista and their fans. kc and the sunshine band are ok and the cubs ugh. their fans make me hate them more than the team itself. i dislike joe madden so i guess i want a ... cubs and kc world series with the royals winning? ugh. shoot me.
I think it's pretty ironic coming from a fan in Philadelphia but staying with baseball didn't they throw batteries at a player that refused to sign a rookie deal with them?
you mean #1 overall pick JD Drew? So what? What does JD Drew have to do with my post or playoff baseball ? What is ironic about my post? And MLB changed the rule bc of what Drew did. If you boycott the team that signed you, the team DOES NOT forfeit your rights to the top pick. They keep it till the next year and everyone drops back a pick. Philly lost the pick and got some crappy 30th overall consolation pick. Thanks.

the point of their fans throwing shit? hmm. JD Drew's first game in Philly after not signing with them and turning down a records amount of money at the time to sign vs Toronto fans who upon taking the lead in game 5 decide to trash their OWN field with trash bf the game ends? nope. don't see the connection here. 2 totally different events. 1 thing in common - throwing stuff on the field. that's all. what the hell are toronto fans thinking? with the go ahead HR you litter the field with beer bottles? that makes no sense. drew boycotted the Phils and a few threw batteries at him. i will say Toronto had more than a few tossing trash onto the field when they were winning.
I bet when people threw those batteries at JD he just thought, "hmm, this is exactly why I didn't want to play here."
no mut. it was they flat out stunk and he said he didn't think they would ever turn it around and didn't want to play for a losing team in the basement his entire career. when he started for st. louis in 1998 the Phils stunk! now after this fiasco they drafted some guys named jimmy rollins, cole hamels, ryan howard and chase Utley and pat burrell and chooch and in 2008 won the World Series when his team, who was heavily favored lost in the ALDS. He got his WS ring, millions of dollars and retired at 35. He had a decent career. Just wished it was in Philly.
I remember an interview with Dave Parker and he was saying that Veterans Stadium was the toughest park to play in, due to the fans throwing batteries at him... while he was trying to make a play on the ball.
