do you know why i can't? because every one of them is a bandwagon fan! not a peep out of them all season till after labor day when the playoffs were in sight. now they post their w-l and daily results on facebook. on freaking facebook. fuck them! if your franchise didn't suck for 100 yrs you would know not to blow your load before the playoffs started!

im pissed about the 1 game playoff between the pirates and cubs. 162 games is too long to play 1 damn game to move on to rd 2.

 

Why would ANYONE be chirping until things seemed locked up? I give them credit for not being blowhards through June and July.

Be sure to aim that animosity at your fellow Eagles fans, though - win a game, and according to them they're Super Bowl bound. Eagles have won every flippin' super Bowl played in August through December.

with bradford at the helm, they are going no where. im an eagles fan and i call it as i see it and he stinks. injured leg and all, he sucks. as you said the o line needs drastic help pronto and they need to get the ball to their wrs. they need so much help overall it's not even funny. and with uncle chip running the show, it will never see a super bowl! never. look at seattle - going for back to back titles to blow it. they're still a great team. the eagles are far away from being a great team.

the eagles were solid when mcnabb played and great when terrell owens played there. that was a long ass time ago.

I have had a hard time not posting every win on Facebook. Made a little easier because I have a gazillion Cardinal fans as friends. The ones who post the most asshole comments are in their 60s. A good 60% of what they post about the Cards, is actually bashing the Cubs. It isn't even about their fucking team. Then they post patronizing shit about being glad the Cubs are competitive and finally having a rivalry again. Such BS. I can't wait for the Cubs or Pirates to knock their asses out of the playoffs.

The irony is on this site the Cubs board had lot of discussion the last couple years and now no one wants to roll with it. I understand the prognosticators were banned, but it would have been nice if some others had stuck around.

In regards to Facebook, I have heard it said in regards to comparing yourself to your friends on Facebook, "don't compare your everyday life to someone else's highlight reel". For the first time since 2008, the Cubs are a highlight reel. They are worth being mentioned. And frankly until they swept the Giants in early August, we just weren't sure. When we got to September, we knew.

 

Oh and find some new friends. People who are asshole sports fans are often assholes in the rest of their life as well. O

 

oh i should mention one more thing...

i went to college in the west burb's of chicago from 1990-94. every one of my buddies were bulls fans for the obvious reason. guess how many were hockey fans? 0! Cup finals vs Pittsburgh and they didn't give a shit. Some blame they hated the old cheap owner Ed Wertz. Some didn't care.

in the last 6 yrs - they win 3 Cups, never attend any of the parades and are now the biggest hockey fans in the world.
