im glad the pilots of the Enola Gay made it over to Japan and dropped the bomb on them. Good for them! haha.

  2. Johnny Cueto is an interesting guy to me. His career splits are painful.

    ERA by month:
    March/April: 2.74
    May: 2.93
    June: 3.07
    July: 3.38
    August: 3.63
    September: 3.81

I know the guys good, but in free agency is that really a guy you want to sign to be the top of your rotation?

he's not a frontline guy like people think. neither is jeff samardzija.

There is not much of a difference between "Good" and "good for them" in my mind........

The one with Cobb in it? Yeah, I read it. Maybe thats what I was thinking about when I saw the numbers on the MLBN? Maybe they were giving the Cobb numbers and I missed part of it and thought they were giving "total MLB hits"....sorry.....That means I can get on that bandwagon and hope he gets in...... *BRAVO*

As far as Cueto goes, he always gives the Pirates a hard time and usually beats them.....What can I say? *DONT_KNOW*

i think ichiro gets in the hall. 3000 hits or not. to be 75 away and not get it is silly. he will latch onto a team to get it.

i once read frank robinson was 57 hits away from 3000 when he retired and he said not getting it was one of his biggest regrets in his career.

  8. No doubt about that. Samardzija is a good pitcher, but he's no ace.

mut-i had to cut him on my 1 fantasy team as he kept getting rocked and his era was in the mid 4's!

Frank Robinson, kind of like Lemieux and Glenn Anderson. Lemieux needed about 8 more goals to reach the the 700 Club. Anderson, I think, has 499 goals. needed 1 more goal to get in the 500 Club......

You need the last starting pitcher for the A.L. to win the MVP before Verlander?

  12. Catfish Guest

i got it. it was clemens in 85.

1 goal to 500 and he quits? wow.

how bad was mario's health then? im sure he could've gotten it but wasn't his back in bad shape for carrying the city for 20 yrs? hahaha.

  13. igloofn68 Guest

    Clemens is correct!

Anderson might have 498, I forget? Yup, thats worse than Lemieux or Robinson.....

I think I put this in the wrong thread? :D

i know jeremy roenick wanted to retire at 495 and then thought about it and realized the different company he would be in at 500, so he kept playing and i think has 505 goals, which sounds a heck of a lot better than 495!

speaking of 500 - big papi david ortiz is 5 hrs away from 500!

  16. I hate Samardzjia. While he wasn't a diva when the Cubs bounced him around between the bullpen and the rotation, he was never as good as he thought he was and he was paid to be. He got a sick signing bonus from the Cubs years ago to play baseball and not football. I'm glad pitched his way out of town because the Cubs got quite the haul for him.

yeah as a ND fan he bailed that fraud brady quinn out a ton! quite a athlete!

Well, maybe you ought'a have half a mind to check out their definitions.

NAH -we rather bitch and complain instead. hahaha.

axe--any prediction on Dallas' record this year? I almost took Romo in a fantasy draft but i couldn't. My 4 big brothers, who are Eagles season tix holders would kill me. I took Matt Ryan. I waited on QBs late and loaded up on RBs and WRs.
