The Diamondbacks landed a frontline starter to replace Zack Greinke on Sunday, agreeing to terms with left-hander Madison Bumgarner on a five-year, $85 million deal. The contract includes $15 million in deferred money. It will rank as the second-largest deal in franchise history, behind only the $206.5 million deal Greinke signed four years ago. Bumgarner, 30, gives the Diamondbacks a proven starter to slot in atop their rotation. In parts of 11 seasons with the San Francisco Giants – he reached the big leagues shortly after his 20th birthday in 2009 – he has logged a 3.13 ERA in 1,846 innings.
