im shocked at the players reaction to this. Calling him a snitch? THis isn't the mafia man. They cheated and were caught. This is the highest level of competition, so you want him to be quiet? that seems even worse than the cheating itself. now the one comment of "giving back your WS ring and WS money" isn't a bad way to start, but man these guys are salty. they cheated and used a very intricate way to do it. this wasn't some clubhouse kid doing it with an I Phone. this was elaborately planned. sorry but you can't ignore that.

Fiers is an idiot in my opinion. If he wanted to go all 'self righteous' why did he wait 2 years? People have been looking to gain an advantage in all sports forever and what Fiers did wasn't integrity, it was just for personal gain. He wanted to make a name for himself and couldnt pitching because he sucked... its all a personal vandetta against a former team. Jealousy 101.

u have no proof of that, Will. And personal gain ? how do you improve on personal gain where there's nothing to gain and risks being public enemy #1 with the players ?

I read the Yahoo story and I read between the lines. Why else would he tell the story if it wernt for personal gain. Did he do it for the integrity of the game , hell no or he wouldn't have waited. You believe what you want, I tend to think else wise.

it states why he waited Will. It wasn't for any gain. he had to figure out all sides and decide on whether to come forward or not. it wasn't easy for him to do. he has nothing to gain on this besides being called a "rat" or "snitch."

First time in 5 years that he pitched 200 innings and his era has never been under 3, insane.

I guess they figure that it's better to outbid everybody else than lose him. The jays have totally gone on the sidelines, I can't ever see them competing again.

they grossly overpaid for him. he wants to stay there, fine. I think Rendon is out !

  14. Bryce Who..................lol

shocking they won without him, but you can't deny his talent? he had a solid first season for the phils. and i still blame the RF for Milwaukee for blowing the Wild Card game with that botched and costly error. He makes that routine play and the Nats go home in 1 game !

Philly has an opening at 3rd base..........I doubt he would go and I'm betting he goes to Texas.

Too bad because he is a great player and I'm going to miss him.......I'm very happy they Inked SS.

go schmo VV. You show him the largest check and he's going to sign it. Philly wants Rendon badly and they already said they don't care about the luxury tax this upcoming year. If they don't land Rendon, then they are going hard after Josh Donaldson. I think they offer Rendon a ton of loot for 8 yrs to tie up the hot corner for the prime of the Nola, Wheeler, Realmuto and Harper years.

The wait for Gerrit Cole appears to be over, and the Yankees look to be the winners or losers.
According to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, MLB's top free agent will be signing with the New York Yankees.
Heyman reported it is a nine-year deal worth $324 million, averaging out to $36 million a season.

freaking insanity. $324 and a avv of $36. Wait till Judge hit FA. Wow. Not worth that. Could land 2-3 pitchers for that cost.
