ah uh. that's what igloo said 5 years ago when the sox turned down the trade for cole hamels. they said swihart was the next Johnny Bench! haha. good one.

 

Well next Bench is a long stretch lol. But the kid can play, he just needs someone to develop him and not jerk his position all over the place and then bury him on the actual bench.

 

he's 27 so plenty of time to turn it around. if he can, that's a steal to find as a FA.

im sorry but Anderson acted like an asshole on the bat flip and his other antics. he showboated so of course he was getting plunked. he should know that. he acted like he didn't do anything wrong. come on man you showboated and acted like an arrogant asshole. im never one for beaning someone, but he deserve this one.

in college, my roommate was a star pitcher for the baseball team. he served up this long HR to a player on the rival team as their home stadium. they were actually only 5 miles from our school. they hated each other. the ball landed over the wall and in the parking lot. it was a bomb. he flipped his bat and strutted around the bases very slowly. he was showboating. next at-bat, Steve plunked him in the leg. his teammates took one step out of the dugout and got all loud until the coach told them to get back in the dugout. the hitter, nodded to Steve and walked to first base. I asked him afterwards "was that on purpose?" he said "damn right and the hitter nodding in agreement to his showboating."

anderson was an idiot yesterday.
