I'm a little surprised by the Kapler clown show...he got glowing reviews when he managed in the Sox ml system.

Cora's had me scratching my head a few times so far with his lineup and bullpen decisions, but I guess it's easier to overlook when you're 5-1 lol.

 

his shift move of the outfielder cost them the game vs NY yesterday. He's way over his head and the team is already 1-4. He continues to bench Alfaro and Kingery too. That makes no sense. I've seen enough of this clown.

Rendon tossed for this...

 

I mean ump was probably a little quick on the trigger there, but Rendon kinda deserved it.

Interesting goings on following a balls-and-strikes issue in the AZ-STL game, too. Lovullo's lucky Yadi didn't plant him 10 rows deep in the grandstand.

 

PS Lovullo and Matheny's kids are teammates on the Red Sox AA team lol.

Rule 8.02:

Any umpire’s decision which involves judgment, such as, but not limited to, whether a batted ball is fair or foul, whether a pitch is a strike or a ball, or whether a runner is safe or out, is final. No player, manager, coach or substitute shall object to any such judgment decisions.

 

It was kinda funny the caption on the video said it was the ump that was acting like a baby when really it was Rendon that was acting like a baby. Like I said, ump could've just given him a verbal to pick up his bat and get moving, but there was no need for Rendon to a) flip his bat like that, or b) stand there huffing and slowly pulling off his batting gloves to no purpose but to passive aggressively show up the ump, either. Who knows what the history there was, either.

 

I tend to agree with Underdog in this conversation. It wasn't a travesty committed by Rendon, but still the bat flip was out of line. You can get away with a few words, a stare, but actions that are obvious and show up the Ump will get you tossed every time.

Underdog is also spot on in the title of the vid calling the Ump a baby... Rendon clearly needed a binky on that reaction.

 

guys get rung up for the 3rd out and leave their bats and gloves on or near home plate. the flip wasn't that bad. could've given him a warning.

 

this is way worse then the Rendon ejection. Not only can't you argue balls and strikes, but the catcher can't go after the opposing coach or touch the Umpire !
