The Yankees, who have been pitching well, will be in Toronto today. I'm going to see that one and it will be fun to see who wins the battle between pitching and hitting. Go Blue Jays!

Oakland at Cleveland gets underway at 12:30... this should be a good one too. Go A's!

I phrased that goofy... buy saying; 'I'm going to see that one'... I'm watching on the PC.

    My badd!

Last time I was in Toronto tho, it was a blast. I likes that city.

haha Will. Why the PC vs TV ?

  8. Willie Head Coach Manager News & Notes Vikings

I got rid of TV about 2 years ago... everything I want to watch, from sports to movies is on the web. Ive learned over time how to safely tap into that medium.

    I'm saving $115/month.

^^ Will-how much do you pay for the Internet ?

I have a Nvidia Shield that is already paid for that offers a ton of free content. Problem is I still need the Internet at $80 a month to use it. The box itself was $200 and that paid for itself inside the first 4 months.

If I didn't need an Internet connection, the Shield, which I already paid for, is technically all i need. A slight pain to not watch tv shows live, but a better life than paying $115 a month!

Internet here is around $60. that's all I fork out and I watch anything I want.

Mr. Met fired for flipping the?bird

While one might say that this was merely an instance of life imitating art given how obscenely bad the Mets have played of late, the club did not take it that way. They have fired Mr. Met.

Or, more specifically, they have fired the man who was in the Mr. Met suit last night and who flipped the bird. That according to the Associated Press, who learned about it from a Mets official who was speaking on?condition of anonymity. It?s against team policy, you see, for anyone but top officials to speak on mascot-obscenity-related matters.

It?s hard to figure that the guy who plays Mr. Met makes a ton of money in the gig. And now that he?s been fired, it?s hard to imagine that we will not hear a lot more from him as he attempts to cash in on his infamy. Indeed, expect the man behind the bird to show up on talk radio and stuff, telling his side of the story, pretty darn soon.

Good bless that man. I wish him nothing but the best of luck in his future endeavors. (PHT)

mine is $80 and my device allows me to watch a ton of stuff but most of it besides sports is not live. that's a small problem. i did watch half the new season of HOUSE OF CARDS last night and i don't pay for Netflix.

good. can't be doing that around young fans.

im still baffled to how Mr. Met was ranked ahead of the Phillie Phantic for mascots? Everyone loves the Phantic. He's great with kids and getting the fans involved.

There's a mascot ranking? Is Wally at the bottom? Do him and Tessie get lumped together, or do they each have their own slots?

  16. Catfish Guest

i think there's a mascot HOF, so yes, there is a ranking. hahaha

Angels slugger Albert Pujols hits grand slam for home run No. 600

With a grand slam down the left-field line against the Twins, Albert Pujols continued to make history.

Pujols hit the 600th home run of his career with a towering blast that tucked inside the foul poul at Angel Stadium.

The 37-year-old Angels slugger connected on the 600th home run of his career to become just the ninth player in MLB history to achieve the feat. He joins Sammy Sosa (609), Jim Thome (612), Ken Griffey Jr. (630), Willie Mays (660), Alex Rodriguez (696), Babe Ruth (714), Hank Aaron (755) and Barry Bonds (762).

Pujols hit career Nos. 598 and 599 on Monday and Tuesday against the Braves as baseball turned its collective eyes on the future Hall of Famer. No. 600 came courtesy of Ervin Santana with a 1-2 slider in the fourth inning to give the Angels a 7-1 lead.

at 37 - Pujols is the 4th youngest to 600 hr. I wish he was healthier to challenge 700, but i don't think that will happen. Still a great achievement.
