Sale wasn't warned beforehand. Both teams were warned after Sale's purpose pitch. Both teams were warned again by Manfred and Torre before the game yesterday. I agree it was absurd he got tossed, but there was no way the ump was letting even the faintest whiff of an issue go after that.

 

wasn't mcnamee a police office, you know, ones to uphold the LAW and keep order? McNamee wasn't a thieve back then. And didn't he or wasn't he a decent trainer? i mean he's training Roger Clemens, so he had to be pretty good, right? Again, a trainer like this isn't a scumbag is he? To me it seemed like their relationship was good until it wasn't and then McNamee thought ahead to save samples. This was one area that people didn't understand. why keep syringes and cotton swabs for years like that. what's your advantage? what's the angle? the answer is to frame him later on. Clemens trusted McNamee as his friend, colleague and trainer. What McNamee did was wrong. Clemens is no Saint here, but he trusted someone and it blew up in his face. Clemens being a class A dick doesn't mean he should be betrayed by his former friend. 2 wrongs don't make a right.

McNamee's primary training skill was obtaining PED's for his clients near as I can tell.

 

there was a video of clemen's workouts with mcnamee and it looked intense. it looked organized and well thought out. maybe he got it from somewhere? i do know clemens was a big follower of nolan ryan's workout regime. there's a poster of it. our college had one. haha. shocked clemens didn't seek out the best trainers to help him instead of a ex-cop?

this is why no in baseball likes curt schilling. he never learns to keep his mouth shut. now he is saying Jones is lying about the racial slurs. Go away Curt and defraud another company!

 

The Mets have suspended Matt Harvey for three days without pay just hours before his start. I don't know what he did, but it got him 3 days.

Jeurys Familia undergoes?surgery

Mets? closer Jeurys Familia underwent surgery on Friday, per a team announcement. Familia was placed on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to May 11, but no details pertaining to the specifics of the procedure or the right-hander?s estimated return date have been revealed yet. An arterial clot was discovered in his right?shoulder?on Thursday, though general manager Sandy Alderson?told reporters that Familia had been experiencing symptoms?prior to Wednesday?s outing against the Giants.

Whether or not Familia will return before the end of the season is pure speculation at this point, but similar injuries have typically taken several months of rehab. Newsday?s Marc Carig spoke to former Mets? right-hander Dillon Gee, who was also diagnosed with a blood clot in his shoulder?back in 2012. ?This stuff can get pretty serious,? Gee told Carig. ?But if you want to play again, you have to address the cause.?
