what was it, that he would be good again and worthy of a mid-summer trade?

ugh. i guess the redskins are next, right? so many people are indifferent about this. you got Seminole Indians saying the Florida State Seminole is not insulting and some say it is. Same for Indians and Redskins. I think North Dakota State lost their Fighting Sioux Mascot and Logo on their Uni's. Either all have it or none of them do!

Right...that with no pressure on him he'd rip off a great first half, get traded, and then get hurt as soon as a team in contention was counting on him to do something.

The ultimate paper tiger. What a waste of talent.

and between $9-13 million dollars. now the phils have money but are holding onto it til the BIG free agency of 2018 when kershaw, harper, mccutchen and others hit. to me that's fine, silly to wait, but still a bad investment. just like morton they got from pitt. $9 mil and he got hurt and was done too. $9 mil here and there adds up. stop going for the quick buck and help and get some real pitchers and hitters! jeez.

They didn't need a jinx Will......They need starting pitching and the way they've been playing, some bats also. Getting swept by the Reds is embarrassing.......They have 3 starters that are practically rookies and then they have Cole, who is an a-hole. He gets this mean look on his face like he's going to strike everybody out, then throws fast balls like he's going to blow them away. The guy just doesn't know how to pitch. What I really don't like about him is when he pitches and a fielder makes a mistake he looks at him and gets pissed. Hey, how about picking picking your teammate up instead of acting like your great and never made a mistake! He's been up a few years now and still doesn't get it but acts like he does. Thats the worst thing I can't stand about the idiot....... *WASSUP* The best starter on the team is Nova who they traded for from the Yankees late last season......

Anybody see the play with Molina (can't stand him) where the ball was stuck on his chest protector and he's behind the plate looking for it? :D You watch enough games every season and you will always see a thing or 2 that you've never seen before......It's on Youtube. Just type in Yadier Molina and you can watch it. Funny as hell...... *OK*

my college roommate, who hated to lose more than anyone, lost 2 no hitters in college in 2 week period bc our schools monster freshman hitter, who couldn't field a beach ball, was in right field, where he dropped or misplayed 2 different balls in the air for hits and cost him 2 different no hitters. We had another kid at DH, so RF was the only spot left for this Freshman. My roommate didn't talk to the kid for weeks. Not even at parties. The team said to him "he's 18 cut him a break and we won both games." My roommate thought after the first misplayed ball he should be DH only and never play the field as he was a risk. After the second blown no hitter, he never spoke to him! He was happy about the win, but he was never that close to a no hitter before, let alone twice in a short time span, and was furious the same kid, who was a risk, blew both.

I have Miguel Cabrera on a few teams. He is super cold and not hitting, but he will come around and mash. Some of the biggest hitters in baseball are ice cold right now... they will be ok when the weather warms up and they find their groove.

The Reds are red-hot this season and have the #1 pitching staff so far... I believe they will comeback to Earth soon and the Pirates will be fine. Don't tell me you gave up all ready.

they better. i got trea turner, gary sanchez, mccutchen and others who are crapping out like a 77 Pinto! My star closer Oh has 1 win and 1 save and an ERA OF 33.00!

Nope, didn't give up, it's too early Will. It's a loooong season. But the way their playing at the moment, I think I'll stick to the Pens in the playoffs....... :)

You'd be better off with Taillon than Glasnow right now Fish. Also , I'll give you sleeper.....Take Polanco. He looks twice as muscular as I've ever seen him. he always looked like a string bean but he must of put in some good workouts over the winter. But it's like will said. It's early! Votto was hitting around .223 the first 2 months of the season last year and hit .400 the rest and ended up 3rd in BA when it was all said and done.......But I can't say I blame ya for staying away from the Bucs!
