Another Jays choke. They have almost choked as much as the Yankees have recently. And here the Yankees about to reverse the choke when it doesn't matter anymore for the JAys. Although the Yankees need this win to survive one more day.
The Marlins and Royals are now eliminated. Yankees survive by walking off with a Grand Slam. Both teams celebrate.
What ifs here and there but if they didn't choke these last couple games they lost they would be controlling their destiny still for the AL East. Now the playoffs are in question.
Champagne celebrations for WC spots and division titles are lame. Especially when you gack away a 3 run lead in the 9th and serve up a walk off granny to a guy who's been below the Mendoza line most of the year. I'm happy to have a reason to watch the Sox in October and that they'll be in the playoffs for Papi's last go, but Price and Kimbrel have done nothing the last two days to diminish concerns about their propensity for spitting the bit on the big stage.
u dog - i said the same thing last year. they cover the lockerrooms and bring out champagne for each round of clinching and moving on. what is that cleaning bill and carpet reinstall? hockey, hoops and football doesn't do that, so why does baseball? celebrate if you win the title only! jeez.
i tip my hat to those poor Tigers fans last night. Many sat in a cold pouring rain for 5-6 innings last night to see the Tigers. The came couldn't even be called in the 5th as it was tied. Thankfully the tie was broken soon after, but man was it raining.
the playoffs haven't even started yet! a bit premature isn't it to talk of the World Series and especially for a team that hasn't played in one since 1945? shit, i had phillies playoff tix throughout the playoffs and we didn't sell our 09 WS tix until the day bf the game! The Cubs better not be preparing for any World Series just yet. Jeez.
The Pirates' game against the Cubs on Thursday night at PNC Park was suspended and declared a 1-1 tie after being delayed by rain with one out in the top of the sixth inning. It is the first tie in the regular season since the Astros and Reds played to a 2-2 tie on June 30, 2005, at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati. MLB.com has no clue how to put it in the standings lol.
Their just planning ahead. Now is the time to start thinking about tickets because if the make it to the WS you better have planned real early or you aint going.
figures Mother Nature is a whore with the shitty weather for the last 3 games of the regular season. cold and rainy as balls out there.
