no way. that's odd, scary and flat out weird. i thought Prince had more to be honest.

    in other news --

Now that GC Stanton is out for the year, the Marlins need help and a lot of guys stepping up like Ichiro and others. I doubt they can. Stanton is a huge loss for the fish.

Thats what's being reported. The only thing is would he be a liability at 1st base? He was a DH for the Yankees.......

Wow, Pirates take the series from the Dodgers and they hold a good edge for the 1st WC spot. Then you look in the stands and they are half empty or more. L.A. is a good sports town..... :D

ARod's publicist says Arod will not play for another team in 2016. This just came out today.

a lot of contending teams have empty seats. i don't get it. in the 90s when the Braves were closing on on more Divisional Titles, the place was empty. Even playoff games till the WS were half-empty.

The Phillies are looking good with their rebuilding Fish. They are beating good teams, I'm impressed...... *REF*

Cabrera leaves Tigers-Royals game with biceps injury

DETROIT (AP) ? Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera left a game against the Kansas City Royals with a left biceps strain.

In the first inning Monday, pitcher Daniel Norris threw wildly to first and Cabrera collided with Cheslor Cuthbert while trying to catch the errant throw. He didn't show any immediate signs of distress but was grimacing during both of his at-bats.

He flew out to deep center field in the fourth, still looking uncomfortable, and was replaced at first base by Jarrod Saltalamacchia for the fifth.

Cabrera is hitting .310 this season with 27 homers and 77 RBIs.

The Tigers said Cabrera is day-to-day.

as i said repeatedly - wait till 2018! they may even contend in 2017, but i don't care. the F/A class of Harper, Kershaw, McCutchen and some others are coming. Phils have buckets of cash and no one to spend it on as Howard and Ruiz are done this year. Rollins and Utley's monies are gone. It will be spending time like a crackwhore on payday in 2018! Plus add Franco, JP Crawford, Nick Williams, Quinn, the catcher from Texas, their 2 HRs bashing AA guys and half their young 20 yr olds pitching staff and look out. It will be contention-ville for the Phillies like before but without bad contracts and Charlie Manual to bungle it up!

Atlanta was good bf and never sold out. They were clinching Divisions and the place was 90% EMPTY! How is that possible?

B/c Atlanta is a sh!tty pro sports city...they care far more about college and HS sports there.

true-braves, falcons and hawks are stinky! haha they had hockey twice and lost it. nice going.

It's not the teams' fault, pro sports just aren't #1, or even #2, in most southern cities. HS football is prime time programming on Friday nights, ffs.

i would say that's true for florida, louisiana, california and texas high school football teams, but atlanta?

High school football is big on Fiday nights in Pitt also but they'd NEVER be able to contend with the pro sports teams. Pittsburgh is Pro sports town. Pitt has a hard time drawing (except basketball) unless their in the Top 20 and that hasn't happened in I don't know how many years.....I would personally watch the Steelers over the Pitt Panthers any day of the week! F*k all that pageantry in college sports. We like winners in Pittsburgh! Like the Pens! :D

    ugh-how about them Pirates? haha

if the NBA gave Pitt a team, i think it would do just fine. they could play where the Pens play and im sure there is enough basketball crazed fans that would be interested. if Vegas is getting a hockey team, how bad could hoops be in Pittsburgh.

  19. Underdog Franchise Player Patriots

They can only have an NBA team in Pittsburgh if they're called the Pisces.

didn't Dr. J saved a NBA team in Pittsburgh with a fish ?
