https://www.yahoo.com/sports/news/y...lting-ump-with-infield-drawing-012519500.html to get tossed for this? come on Ump live a little. jeez.
the Ump had no idea what he drew in the dirt. it could've been a happy face. without knowing and to just toss him was a bit much. i thought it was funny.
Pirates have been calling up up a ton of players lately. Their top prospects. Most are pitchers and look better than the veterans. They also just called up Josh Bell for the weekend. He's the 43rd top prospect in the minors and has been tearing it up. He lined a single his 1st time at bat in the majors. His 2nd time up the next night, he hit a grand salami which did in the Cubs. 3rd time up he walked yesterday. If he's the 43rd best player in the minors, I'd sure hate to see how good the ones ahead of him are? I think he's around 245, 6'5" and are breaking him into 1st base after being in the outfield because Alvarez was let go because he couldn't throw the damn ball straight and couldn't hit a curve ball if his life depended on it......The Orioles have him now.....I want to wish them, good luck!
With the same record as the Tigers Rumor has it the Pirates might be looking to get rid of Neise. Which is like giving Neil Walker away. Don't like Neise. I don't think he has consistently good stuff. A lot of his wins came from a lot of runs scored when he was pitching......
yeah a lot of losses by the Cubbies of late. Igloo-I keep reading McCutchen could be dealt. He's not having a good year and could bring back a ton in return. He's the heart and soul of the team! A dark day if that happens.
As good as the Red Sox' 2011 draft has turned out thus far, I remember badly wanting them to draft Bell that year.
i just googled Bell. He's being sent back down again. i hate when teams do this crap. if they can play, they can play. it's past the July 1st date for minor leaguers, so they already own him an extra year of controlled money. ugh.
HR derby was cool. Bleacher Report said Trumbo put it over the building in left field. do you realize how high that is? when they showed it, they were wrong. it went off the giant scoreboard. get this marlins said every HR Stanton hits, tickets will be discounted by that much. he hit a record 62 hrs so tix are 62% off. brilliant move Marlins. ahahahhahahaha
If I hadnt read this with my one good eye, I would have thought you fell off the wagon. Unbelievable under-sight by the marlins. Dont they pay attention down there?
a couple of years ago Mo Rivera won the AS MVP and did little to earn it and people said on here it was his last game etc so give it to him. bullshit. have him earn it. im glad they didn't give it to Ortiz. Don't make a farce out of it. And i'm glad Fernandez didn't give him a fastball to hit for a easy HR as he promised. No need for that. I am not a fan of WS home-field based on the outcome of this game. I don't think it's right and to ballot stuff the boxes in Chicago and Boston. I mean come on Addison Russell and his .221 average an All-Star? That's a crock! Make the game fun and take the vote out of the fans hands and make it a real All-Star game and have some fun. Commish Manfreid should take away the home-field crap. As for renaming the AL and NL Batting Crowns the Tony Gwynn and Rod Carew batting title awards...What about Wade Boggs, Honus Wagner and Ty Cobb? They had as many or more batting titles as Gwynn and Carew did? What's up with that?
They did say Gwynn was 8th on the average or hit list Fish. One of those? How bout Rogers Hornsby, Jimmie Foxx, Who knows what Ted Williams could of done and he did good anyways. I agree, They are not paying any respect to the players of the past. And home field for the WS because of the ASG is silly! *REF* Edit: Manfred is F*ing up the game already!
