Pirates swept by the Cubs again. Starters and bullpen are terrible. Needs a complete overhaul. Just give me a good movie!

 

The Pirates are a good baseball team. The Cubs are, well, just the Cubs.

 

Rockies and Marlins combine for 5 solo HR before the start of the bottom of the 2nd inning. It's the 1st time in MLB history it has occured.

 

James Taileon got roped again on Sunday. Can't get a clutch hit when needed. I heard Cole may be hurt too. Not good.

 

Cole has been out the last week or two. Thats why Taillon is up. His 1st outing was great. His 2nd, not as good. Had a no-hitter going for 6 and 1/3 innings......

Will, the pitching isn't what it's been the past few years. The bullpen isn't as good and the starters are not as good. Burnett left and Lariano is not pitching good. Cole has been so-so. I'm not crazy about Niese. You have to score runs for him to win most of the time. And you never know what you'll get from Locke and Nicasio.....Now, they can't even hit the freakin ball. I can't believe Locke didn't give up a run to the Giants and combined for a shutout to end their 9-game winning streak.......I'd keep Taillon up and put Nicasio in the bullpen. Locke is like Jekyll and Hyde. Would calling up Glasnow be any worse? When your out of it, it's time to call some up and see what they can do. You might get surprised or lucky.....

 

Chris Sale is 12-2. Leads MLB in wins.

i wish the phils could just forfeit the rest of their games. that would be better than watching them. they suck ass!

 

Throw the Pirates in there too Fish! Their pitching is atrocious.......I turned on the tele last night just in time for the 4th inning and the Giants hit a grand salami and a 2-run homer back to back.........I turned it off and watched Red Lights on Netflix........

The Cleveland Indians are playing great baseball. How would it be if the Cleveland fans won the NBA title and the Baseball team makes it to the World Series?

I also thing the Indians have the best starting rotation, 1-5, in the Majors.

 

Like really, really, really sucks.

 

so does about 6 guys on my fantasy roster! ian kennedy, james shields, aaron nola, mike stanton, the seager brothers. you name them and i have them sucking the toilet water out of a toilet at a Greyhound bus station in the Bronx!

indians -- bauer has had a nice comeback and the rest are rock solid. i always pulled for the tribe in the mid-90's to win the WS but they got beat every damn time! curses.

 

i went to the old Yankee stadium in it's last year. wow. the upper deck was steep! i felt like i was going to fall out of my chair and i was sitting in it. going to my seat, i had 1 hand on my $10 beer and one of the railing as i felt i was going to fall over the upper bowl of the stadium.

the concourses were too small and filled with people and i saw a rat bigger than my cat Tux and he's one fat bastard.

the new stadium by the pix above looks steep as hell in the upper bowl again. no thanks!

 

Not to dig up an old topic, but I just saw this. Are you serious? Profession means "(of a person) engaged in a specified activity as one's main paid occupation rather than as a pastime." Do you think minor league guys don't get paid?

 

mut-money has little to do with it. it's professional stats and minor league stats. on the back of baseball cards, they have a line drawn and ONLY show their Major League Stats and not stats since they were drafted and playing for Minor League Clubs.

And it's 2 different leagues - the Major League and Japan league. Not really an argument.

Rose is the hit King as it's obvious. It was nice of MLB to recognize what Ichiro did.

 

Some minor league players get paid big bucks. I've heard hundreds of times minor league players are considered professionals.. Doesn't matter what the back of a baseball card says, they just list teams. It doesn't mean your not a professional.....have to disagree with ya on this one Fish......
