Another hit streak and yes, it's a Red Sox player...

Bogaerts homers as hitting streak reaches 21

TORONTO -- Xander Bogaerts has added power to his mix this season while maintaining the same pure stroke he had throughout last season. The Red Sox's shortstop ran his hitting streak to 21 games on Saturday afternoon by launching a homer to lead off the fourth inning.

It was No. 6 on the season for Bogaerts, just one fewer than he hit last season.
The hitting streak for Bogaerts is the longest of his career, and the second-best in the Major Leagues this season. Red Sox center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr. had the top streak this season, a 29-game run that ended on Thursday at Fenway Park.

Royals beat White Sox after trailing 7-1 in bottom of the 9th. Since 2010, teams were 4-2,810 in such situations.

    Thats kinda amazing.

Yankees win a game while recording just 1 hit for the first time since July 10, 1914 vs the Indians. They were being no-hit through 6.

Clayton Kershaw has a 1.45 ERA over his last 35 starts.

He has 333 strikeouts to just 31 walks over 261 innings during that span.

    Not to shabby.

did u guys see the met sp noah sybndergaard throw behind chase Utley and get tossed? Joe Buck was like "did the Ump just toss him?" Yeah horseface that arm motions means he's gone. Then Bucks rants about how that's not fair and not legal and Syndergaard wasn't given a warning. The Ump doesn't have to if he feels the ejection is warranted. The Mets claimed the ball slipped out of his hands. Please. If you don't think it was payback for what happened you're nuts.

We all know what happens when someone says it slipped (20 second mark)...

phils Cinderella dream is over. 1-6 in last 2 series. no offense and pitching is getting killed. some reporter says if Ryan Braun is available they have the need and deep pockets to get him! Get him now! They need a HR hitting OF'er asap! Save the season and get him.

Phils are still in it Fish! The Pirates are the opposite. They have hitting and need pitching.......Funny thing is they said a couple weeks ago during a game that Glasnow has to learn how to throw a change-up before getting called up. Then a week later they said he could get called up in June? WTF! *NO*

igloo man - the phils lost 3 straight series and are 1-6 in their last 7 games. no offense and pitching is getting lit up! the cubs made appetizers out of them. They need offense. If not Braun-then someone with some freaking power.

and come on iggy - you know the call up rule due to classification of minor league guys status II. June 1st is the call ups date. Washington can now call up Trea Turner, Phils and JP Crawford and the Pirates for their guys. They gain a year of eligibility and arbitration on the player by doing this.

Yeah I know that. But they should of never said he wouldn't be called up because he didn't have a good change-up. Then all of a sudden the next week they say they might call him up in June. I highly doubt he's learned a good change-up in 1 week.......

damn good point. no one learns that fast with that much control of it. haha.

BREAKING --- Marlon Byrd suspended 162 games...

Indians outfielder Marlon Byrd has tested positive for a performance enhancing substance that will result in a lengthy suspension, Vince Grzegorek of Cleveland Scene reports on Twitter. He has previously been hit with a 50-game ban, meaning he was in line for a full-year suspension under the league?s more punitive current PED regime.

Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports confirms (via Twitter) that Byrd will indeed receive a 162-game suspension that he chose not to appeal. Given his age and history, it?s fair to wonder whether this is the end of the line for Byrd, who has seen action in fifteen major league seasons.

The starters are really pitching decent outside of Sanchez who just got moved to the Bullpen, even Pelfrey is getting better, but the Pen is stinking the place up big time.

Over the last month the Tigers starters are leading the MLB in ERA, but everything goes out the window once the starters hit the 5th or 6th inning.

K-Rod is closing well... its just the middle relief that blows right now.

didn't K-Rod just contract the virus from visiting his parents in South America? I just read something like that. The virus athletes are pulling out of the Olympics over ?
