That just shows how feared he is. Harper walked 13 times in one series because the other team was afraid to pitch to him. On the other hand Trout only has 18 walks total on the season.
If Pujols is hitting behind Trout, then yes, he's not playing as well as he used to either. The age factor is creeping up........ Will, I think Harper"s attitude is what turns people off. He acts like he can do anything he wants. Time to put him in his place. Do you agree he deserved a 1-game suspension? I do, because theres a rule a n ejected player or manager are not allowed back on the field after they've been tossed!
http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/n...bonds-and-clemens-in-hall-of-fame-but-not-dh/ fans have lost their damn minds on this. fans show support for bonds and clemens in the HOF! thank God they're not voting!
There were many players doing PEDS Fish.... The player from Houston or San Diego I think? The one that won an MVP. Admitted a couple years afterwards he was doing them also. It's called the Steroid Era. You can't just disregard the whole era when many players were doing them. And many we'll probably never know about.......
who? ken caminetti? he died and that was over 10 yrs ago? i can't recall anyone from SD or Houston being MVP. Bonds and Clemens dug their own graves. They were in the Hall bf they probably used steroids but greed and ego took over, so screw them. I was once in favor of just making a notation on their plaques, but why? they cheated and over cheated with the amount of steroids they took so why reward them? how many hrs would bonds hit without peds? or mcgwire? sorry you made your bed - now sleep in it. to me even on steroids barry bonds had the greatest bat speed and hand to eye to bat and ball in the history of the game. he was a great player. he was also an giant ego maniac. so was clemens. you gotta pay the piper so they are now...
A majority of players then used steroids. With that logic we might as well stop inducting players to the hall for a while because we are getting close to the point where every worthy candidate on the ballot will have used them.
that may be the case in a few years. either they let them in or have no one get in... and unless more proof comes up, i am not so sure about every worthy candidate used them. did Jim Thome use steroids? Never caught...
Red Sox write history: 11+ runs in 4th straight BOSTON -- After his team secured a fifth consecutive win with a fourth straight game of at least 11 runs on Thursday night at Fenway Park, Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts compared Boston's unstoppable offense to a video game. "This is kind of like Playstation," Bogaerts said after hitting his third home run of the season and driving in three runs in an 11-1 rout of the Astros. "Only teams on Playstation score this many runs." ? Boston, which scored 40 runs in a just-completed three-game sweep of the A's, became the Majors' first team to score double digits in four straight games since the Red Sox did so in an August 2007 four-game set with the White Sox in Chicago. David Ortiz and Dustin Pedroia are the two holdovers from that team. ? The Sox have scored 11 or more runs in four straight games for the first time since 1950. ? Boston became the first team to score at least 11 runs and record at least 14 hits in four consecutive games since the 1930 Philadelphia A's, who were led to a World Series title by Hall of Famers Jimmie Foxx, Mickey Cochrane and Al Simmons. ? For the first time in Fenway Park history, the Sox have recorded at least eight runs and at least 12 hits in six consecutive home games. For the second time in as many games, all nine of Boston's starters not only reached base, all recorded at least one hit. Even a soft popup near Houston starter Dallas Keuchel by red-hot outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. dropped in for a hit. "It's one of those runs," Bradley said. "I think each team will go through those moments when they get really hot. We definitely want to minimize the cold spells, be able to put together some good at-bats and be some tough outs." (MLB.com)
im willing to bet thome gets a lot more votes than bonds will. bonds was caught with the cream whatever the hell that was .. ?
Reyes suspension retroactive, runs through May 31 DENVER -- Rockies shortstop Jose Reyes has accepted a suspension without pay through May 31 for violating Major League Baseball's Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Policy. The unpaid suspension of Reyes is retroactive to Feb. 23, when Reyes was placed on leave pending the resolution of criminal proceedings in Hawaii, and covers all of 2016 Spring Training and the first two months of the 2016 regular season. Reyes has agreed not to appeal the discipline. He may participate in extended Spring Training activities during the remainder of the suspension, followed by a rehabilitation assignment beginning on June 1. "My office has completed its investigation into the allegation that Jose Reyes committed an act of domestic violence on October 31, 2015," Manfred said in a statement. "The investigation was prolonged and complicated initially by the existence of a pending criminal proceeding against Mr. Reyes in Hawaii involving the same allegation, which has since been dismissed. Mr. Reyes cooperated fully with my office's investigation. Having reviewed all of the available evidence, I have concluded that Mr. Reyes violated the policy and should be subject to discipline in the form of an unpaid suspension that will expire on May 31. I am encouraged by Mr. Reyes' commitment to the treatment provisions of the policy in order to ensure that such an incident does not occur in the future. Mr. Reyes also agreed to contribute a total of $100,000 to one or more charitable organizations focused on preventing and treating survivors of domestic violence." Reyes was arrested on Oct. 31 in Maui, Hawaii, for an alleged incident in a hotel where he and his wife, Katherine, were staying. Police dropped the charges because his wife declined to cooperate, but the policy allows Manfred to issue a suspension even if there is no action in the criminal justice system.
