    Exactly as I stated.

Ridiculous fanboy overreaction and actual flat out lying on what was said.

If you can't produce where I said Jake Peavy would be a bad move, stop claiming it was said and move on.

Won't happen however as the fanboy twins will keep running their mouths claiming something was said that was never, ever said.

Yet again, produce where someone said those words? If not, they are your own words? I think someone needs to move on from Cubs forums.

You are so predictable. I can count on one finger the amount of things you have said positive about anything regarding the Cubs. If you don't like what's going on with the Cubs, why don't you move on?

You have regurgitated the same nonsense for the last four years and it has grown rather stale. Others on here know it, and people from the past know it too.

Why don't you try using the bounty of knowledge you claim to have and try putting it into reasonable conversations instead of mocking everything that you don't agree with (which is just about everything that doesn't come out of your mouth)?

You would get a lot more respect if that even matters to you, which I'm sure probably doesn't. *THIS*

So your stance is that no one has ever complained about Zambrano's contract?

That people haven't stated it was exorbitant and handcuffed the Cub$?

Really? THAT's the story you are going with?

And you wonder why no one takes you seriously and you are branded a fanboy.

I think someone needs to move out of their parents basement.

I can count on zero fingers positive things to say about the worst three year history of the franchise.

If you choose to get pissed on and what to think it is raining that is dandy. Whatever gets you off.

But don't expect everyone else to think the same.

Why would I move on? I've spent most of my life rooting for the Cub$.

Only a 12 year old fanboy would insist that everyone loves the way the team is being run at all times.

    Grow up.

    I have. Many, many times.

I have pointed out all the teams that rebuilt at the major league level and won a WS using mostly, if not only FA. I have pointed out how teams have built farm systems not having to intentionally throw away seasons and draft in the top ten. I have shown how the fairy tale of long term, winning baseball is not realistic. I have shown how only a fraction of top 100 prospects end up being above average MLB players.

All of those things you have totally ignored and regurgitating the Cub$ PR handbook.

Anyone who spends a second caring about what a bunch of idiot strangers on the internet thinks of them is a total loser.

So no, your respect doesn't matter at all to me. Not even in the slightest.

Have fun today greasing up with Vaseline and looking at the list of Cub$ prospects and pleasuring yourself till you are raw.

I will be at Game 7 of the World Series. You know, something that really matters.

Can't imagine why you've been booted off of every Cubs board with the exception of this one? :-*

And you claim to be a Cubs fan? You are a FUCKING JOKE with absolutely nothing to bring to the table.

Now, go to the WS and count the number of positional players on one hand that were brought in via free agency, and then count the number of positional players on three hands that were brought up through their respective farms.

3-1 ratio sound about right?

The farm? You know, something that really matters.

You said those werent your words? I want to know specifically whose words those were or they were your words. I think someone needs to get his GED while he is locked up.

As usual you ignore all the facts that I have provided numerous, numerous times.

I am more of a Cub$ fan than you will ever be. I have gone to more games at Wrigley Field than you were ever go to and have watched more games than you will ever watch.

Feel better now that your temper tantrum is over? Ready for your nap?

Still ignoring the facts of the TWENTY NINE YEARS it took to get all these farm pieces in place.

But yeah, any team can just snap their fingers and have it all come together in 3-5 years.

Fanboys will be fanboys and throw their sippy cups any time an adult posts any kind of independent thinking.

I posted a comment about Joe Maddon being a PR move and you and Silence replied launching into yet another personal attack and tirade on me.

But somehow it is me that is the problem?

    Pot meet kettle.

So your stance is that no one has ever complained about the Zambrano contract or claimed that it handcuffed the team?

It is actually a pretty simple yes or no answer that you are refusing to answer.

Well KB you did make this assertion in your first post:
Because you call other posters these things regularly, it's on you not to hold it against others when they can't distinguish your regular whiny rant from your equally common, confusing and lazy thoughts laden with personal insults.

I'm confused, on another thread you posted a very proud fan resume and you even asserted your fan greaterliness here:
So you prop up your credibility and standing among posters with the said resume and yet you say this?
    ??
    nevermind, don't respond.

Anyway, anybody else see any interesting new details or updates on the Maddon rumors today?

No one posting on this board. You still wont admit its your words.

    Yawn.

Maybe I should have multiplied the number of Cub$ games I have watched by some mythical accounting multiplier then?

Sources say the Cubs will let Renteria know his future in the next couple of days. Also, read that Joe Maddon is prepared to sit out a year. He seems to not want to get a coach fired for him, but its business. Its not personal.

So now your stance is that if it wasn't said on this board it was never said?

I am getting dizzy with all the goalpost moving.

    http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/writer...nt-skipper-rick-renteria-knows-clubs-interest

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Cubs are talking to top free-agent manager Joe Maddon, and the team is said to be seeking resolution by early next week.

Current Cubs manager Rick Renteria has been told the team is exploring the possibility of hiring Maddon, who became a free agent after recently opting out of his Rays deal.

Cubs president Theo Epstein and GM Jed Hoyer have not responded to media inquiries since Maddon became a free agent, seeming to indicate something was afoot. Renteria issued a statement in response to the speculation, saying he intended to continue to do his job but stopped short of saying he was aware of the Maddon interest.

Renteria said in the statement two days ago that he intended to "continue to focus my offseason prepartion on achieving the goal we established from the start: bringing a championship to Chicago."

Some reports sugggested Renteria hadn't been apprised of the situation, but a league source said Renteria -- who has two years to go on his Cubs contract -- is definitely aware of the Cubs' interest in Maddon.

The Cubs tried to hire Joe Girardi away from the Yankees last winter, and one person suggested Chicago was prepared to pay Girardi $5 million annually.

Maddon, who gained a reputation as one of the league's best managers guding the tiny-market Rays to the playoffs in four of seven years, is said to be seeking at least $5 million annually. He made slightly less than $2 million annually in the Rays deal he abandoned, though they were said to have offered him a raise.

The Cubs are expected to be a big player on the free-agent market, as they seek to supplement an excellent group of young position players that helped them improve to 73-89 in 2014.

League sources say Epstein, who interviewed Maddon in 2003 for the Red Sox managing job that went to Terry Francona, has long been a Maddon admirer. Agent Alan Nerio told CBSSports.com a few days ago that 10 teams had expressed interest in some job for Maddon, but it isn't known how many others wanted him to be their manager. The Twins are the only team with a managerial opening, and sources suggest Maddon had no interest in that job. Friends, in fact, say he would much prefer to manage in the National League.

Rival executives almost to a man have said from the time Maddox left Tampa Bay they expect him to wind up with the Cubs. One rival GM went so far as to say he'd be "shocked" if Maddon didn't end up on the North Side of Chicago.

The Chicago Sun-Times pegged Friday as a possible day for a deal to be struck with Maddon.

Epstein, Hoyer and Nero did not return messages.

Let me make sure I got this.
-The debt service rule (attachment 22 of the CBAhttp://mlb.mlb.com/pa/pdf/cba_english.pdf) is mythical with mythical consequences for violation and it never mattered to the Cubs even though they were in violation in 11' and Bud even had to chime in about the Cubs and their spending per the link you provided earlier this year.
-The number of Cubs games you watched makes your posts more valuable
-You're a better fan than Boo because you say so
-Comments, supposedly said on other boards but never linked, are useful here
-When guilty of something, call somebody out for the same thing.
-Poorly contextualized and/or factually wrong basis for opinion qualifies as independent thinking

What about the Cubs' interest shouts "PR move" anyway? They've been silent, Maddon made Epstein's candidate list before, and Maddon comes from TB which is hardly a hotbed of publicity for casual Cubs fans to get their head around.
