Also late but happy belated birthday to Beach and Lym.

In terms of Ben and the HoF, I think he gets in fairly easily. The only real question is whether it's first ballot or not. Terrell Owens didn't get first ballot simply because he was considered an asshole. Ben is considered an asshole (even by many who met him in Pittsburgh) while also having those 2 allegations. That could seriously hurt his first ballot chances.

Then again Ray Lewis got first ballot so who knows

Don't get the low grades on Shakur (by PFF.com's own admission, he's #95 overall player taken at #89) and a position of need for the Browns.

In this Mock, they picked up the top safety in the 2021 class (#22 overall prospect), a starting inside linebacker, perimeter and interior cornerbacks, a rotational safety, a bigger receiver, and two big bodies at tight end.

    Wow.

Quarterbacks I would Trade Baker For (Revised)

    1. Mahomes
    2. Wilson

That's it. That's the (updated) list.

I believe he said prior to that as a team they were not on the same page which means everyone including himself. Nothing he said threw anyone under the bus. Despite the loss he is light years ahead of baker and the fact you only have wilson on your list means you have baker over ranked.

I do not understand this comment. By my reading, you're suggesting that Baker should/could have been on a list of QB's that might be traded for ... Baker. What am I missing?

    Speaking of...

    He did.

He then went on to throw his receivers under the bus and blame his offensive line for allowing too much pressure. Doesn't matter if it's true (it was)... that's not what you want out of your franchise quarterback publicly and especially when that guys' worth hundreds of millions.
You're right... he is ahead of Baker. But if you ignore everything about their respective situations and try to evaluate them as if they were standing on the exact same ground, you're nuts.

Mahomes was drafted to a 10-6 team that had just finished first in its division. He sat behind a veteran who was performing as a Top 5 quarterback in the league and played for a coach who's one of the all-time greats. He inherited a 12-4 squad after being allowed to sit, mature, and study under terrific mentors and coaches and went... 12-4. Since joining the league, he's had one head coach, two offensive coordinators (one for his time as a starter), and one position coach.

Baker Mayfield was drafted by an 0-16 team to possibly the worst head coach in NFL history (who somehow retained his job). He sat behind Tyrod Taylor until a concussion forced him into the lineup. He took an 0-16 team and turned it into a 7-8-1. Since joining the league, he's had three head coaches, five different offensive coordinators, and five different position coaches. This most recent season, his third, he took the "doormat" Browns to the post season, smacked the silly out of your Pittsburgh Steelers, and was largely responsible for am 11-5 season.

Once he started to get comfortable in the newest system (his third in as many seasons), he was one of the best QBs in the NFL. The last time he had a full season in the same system, we won the Heisman.

So yeah, the list of QB's I'd take over Baker are extremely slim.

I think people that see it as him throwing his teammates under the bus are looking for a reason to not like him. I (along with many others) heard the same answer and didnt see it that way at all. He has another answer in the same press conference where he uses the word we several times that is not a word being used when throwing people under the bus.

In the very same answer that you listed he said I did not get the ball out quick enough. Sound like someone throwing his teammates under the bus? He also said recieves were not where I thought they would be not recieves ran the wrong route. You combine the I with the comment they were not on the same page and it doesnt sound like he is throwing anyone under the bus unless thats what you want to hear.

Kind of like when people thoguht baker was throwing the Browns medical staff under the bus. If you wanted to hear it that way it sounded that way.
