I think I read somewhere that we have gone longer than any other franchise without raising prices, so this was easy to see coming...
2 years ago, they lowered ticket prices... This still keeps them below the majority of the league and well below the top tier teams in terms of cost per ticket.
In 2018, they were the lowest ticket price in the NFL by $3... They are only raising "some" of the tickets, not all seats... I don't think the average price per ticket is going to raise by more than $10.00..so they would then be ranked about $5.00 below the average NFL ticket price if that is the case.

Tread lightly, remember, he's been kicking in a dome for the majority of his career...Atlanta and New Orleans twice a year, at least.
He's a 43 year old kicker from Baylor. I don't know if he's ever made a cold weather kick, but I'll take my chances. He's better than anybody we've had since Dawson, I'm sure of that....How many games did our kickers cost us last year? Not saying guarantee him a contract, but why not bring him in if we can? FWIW, It's being considered a cost cutting move for Atlanta, not a performance based one. Bryant missed one kick last year.
Yeah, I mentioned him like 5 times this year... Not having a kicker cost us dearly... The thing is, everybody knows where our stadium sits. It's ALWAYS going to be a tough place for Placekickers. That's Cleveland football.... This is a position that needs to be addressed...
That's exactly right, and just as Phil did, we need a kicker dedicated to learning how to kick in Browns Stadium. It could become a distinct advantage for the Browns. Move the kicker's practice downtown. There's no reason to practice kicking in Berea when you will be doing it for real on the water front.
I don't think I've ever heard that mentioned before, but that's a great idea....We really should have the placekickers practicing at First Energy and dealing with those conditions regularly. There is just too much invested, and this league is designed for parity and close games. Ya gotta have a Kicker you can count on...So many times throughout the season, "everything" is riding on the Kicker being successful. It's a pressure job, and it's demoralizing for everyone when the Kicker fails...
I thought I read somewhere that that is exactly what the Browns have been doing for years. Didn't they start using the punter as the FG holder a few years back? At the time, it made sense as you dont need a backup QB practising with the LS and kicker somewhere else and missing reps in the team practice.
All I know is when I go to training camp, the special teams have been there at every one...It doesn't mean they don't hold separate practices down town also, but they have always been off to the side "practicing" while the rest of the team is doing their offense, defense and team drills.
I don't recall the details in the piece but it could have been after they broke training camp and settled into the regular season practise routine. My memory ain't what it used to be.
Okay, I'm kinda surprised that I didn't know about this (or recall it), especially considering that I've stayed in that same general area of motels at least 40 times in my life...(probably the same one. idk) I did not dig this up, and I realize it was a while ago, but it is what it is. I just happened to mention Clark as one of my favorite potential F/A targets to a good friend, who is the "ultimate" Buckeye football authority btw.....So here's how the conversation went; FRIEND: "So who do you want the Browns to go after in free agency?" ME: " I really like Frank Clark a lot. I know he's a Michigan guy, but he's from Ohio. Played at Glenville." FRIEND: "I know he played at Glenville, but really?" ME: "Yeah. What's not to like?" FRIEND: "Well, let's forget about the Michigan thing for a minute, and focus in on his Cedar Point experience" ME: https://www.freep.com/story/sports/...11/17/frank-clark-michigan-football/19157491/
Here's a name to keep in mind; Benson Mayowa, defensive end Pass rushers in the NFL are a lot like birthday cake: you can never have too much of it (I really hope my personal trainer isn’t reading this). While Myles Garrett continues to solidify his selection as the number one overall pick of 2017, the Browns could still use help in getting to the quarterback. Thankfully, with a draft class that is loaded with talented edge prospects and many enticing options (albeit expensive) on the free agent market, the team could bolster their pass rush significantly heading into 2019. The building blocks are certainly there, but as mentioned before with the potential fit of Christian Covington, work could always be done to add more depth. Benson Mayowa has bounced around the league since entering it as an undrafted free agent back in 2013 but has managed to be productive wherever he’s ended up. Luckily for the Browns, new defensive coordinator and former Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks could have an inside track at recruiting Mayowa to join him in Cleveland, which could represent a much better option than paying a steep price for some of the other edge talents on the market. He totaled four sacks while playing in just under 50 percent of the Cardinals’ snaps last season, so utilizing him in a similar, rotational role in Cleveland could help to take some of the pass rush pressure off Garrett and Emmanuel Ogbah in 2019.
Alright, I don't think this has been covered yet..... What will the Browns do with their backup QB situation? Tyrod is UFA and Stanton has one more year at $3.7M or so. Hopefully the backup won't be needed but just in case........ Do you think they'll sign a FA or just draft one? And who might be these guys to target? Don't think we've got anybody on the practice squad.
