I took two of my boys to see the Crimes of Grindelwald on Saturday. It wasn't bad, but I hadn't seen the first Fantastic Beasts movie so I wasn't always entirely sure what was going on. And I would've liked to have seen more action with the beasts. And I wish Hollywood would find someone besides Johnny Depp to play strange pasty characters. And I wonder how they're going to milk three more films out of this story. But if you like the Potterverse, you probably will enjoy it.
Lizzie - a new twist on the Lizzie Borden murders. Wow. Freaking crazy she was acquitted in real life. this new version offers a new twist in the whole case featuring a maid that was really their maid and a real person. it was good. kind of creepy, but good.
well this movie showed it. it was gruesome. the father's injuries were worse as he caught his in his face. the real pictures of his death were reenacted for the movie.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see many more children murder their parents nowadays. They get addicting to playing games on the cell phone and TV. Then get upset when you tell them to stop and do something else.
i saw this video and a parent threw all of his son's video games in the yard and ran over them a few times with the lawn mower. the reaction of this teenager you would think they cut off his arm !
I'm a total Potter fan and really enjoyed this movie. When Depp showed up in the first one unexpectedly...I was kinda pissed. I like Johnny Depp but didn't think this story needed someone like him involved where his mannerisms and acting style could overwhelm the story. But I gotta say he was actually very good as Grindelwald and fit in really well, in my opinion. The scene near the end when Leta dies, where Grindelwald was seeking wizards to come to his side, really well done and pretty powerful. Again...I'm a fan of the whole universe so maybe my opinion is skewed. But I really enjoyed it.
nah bears, nothing wrong with being a big fan. im a star wars fan and i ignore some things about the movies and bash them at the same time. i liked many of the potter movies. i didn't read the books. i do think everything goes too easy for harry. the phoenix flies down to give him the sword to kill the snake in part 2. the stone magically appears in his pocket in movie 1. he gets the champions trophy from the tri-wizards cup. he makes the quiddich team as a freshman and catches the golden snitch. everything is practically handed to him on a platter. still enjoyable though.
Summer of 84 - an little indie movie that is getting buzz and talk of a sequel already. not as bad as i thought. it's mainly an unknown cast, but the plot and story goes together quite well. i liked it. i won't give away any details because that will give away the plot.
as an Oscar fan and buff, not even i wanna see that. Hart stepped down for 8 year old tweets. unreal.
I went to watch aquaman, walked out after 15 minutes, pure garbage. I ended walking into "a star is born", had no idea that lady gaga and andrew dice were in it until I googled it halfway through. It's a remake from a 1937 movie, she isn't a great actress, but the movie was ok and bearable. I then ended up walking into "the mule" halfway through. Hey, for a guy that's close to 90, that's as good as it's gonna get for Clint, pretty good movie. I was going to watch another one but had enough, not bad for one night.
A star is born was also redone in the 70’s. It won some Oscars but the movie sucked. Barbara Strisan and Kris Kristafason
I grew up being amused at that poster, that was considered soft porn at the time. I just found out the other day about the original from 1937.
saw aquaman for free and it still sucked. way too lame of a story and right out of the comic books. too much cgi too. the sisters brothers. a bad western that was a flop at the box office. wow was it bad. story is from a book too. awful. the house that jack built. - serial killer movie from some famous swedish guy starring matt dillion. poorly done and the murders of children arent necessary or cool to show. awful the way it was made and shown. the mule - clint is the man to be 87+ and crank out solid movies. happy with the ending and glad it wasnt like the ending in gran torino. solid overall. father figures. i hate owen wilson and ed helms is annoying. movie had some funny parts but overall just kind of lame.
Beware, My Lovely (1952) - Ida Lupino, Robert Ryan. Solid thriller about a widow who hires a schizophrenic handyman.
bad times at the el royale. -- not as bad as i thought. actually quite good. kind of like pulp fiction but less over the top. ant man and the wasp - not as a bad as i thought. silly and unrealistic but i saw it for free so it was decent. a quiet place. now rumored to be a best picture nominee. wow. it's stupid. Spoiler they never say what happened and how the creatures took over or where did they come from. never said what year was it and what happened to our army. and how the hell if you need to be quiet are you have another freaking baby. they make noise. good pacing but just really odd. it's kind of like the movie Signs but they can talk.
