JUSTICE LEAGUE-Not as bad as I thought. Well put together. Too much CGI. I wish like the Burton's Batmans or the Nolan ones or like the old Superman's - just a movie with a regular villain from the old days. The Riddler, Luthor, or Penguin or Brainiac or Legion of Doom. All this CGI makes it look so unreal. I did like Aqua-Man, He was funny and the Flash was funny bc he's a dorky kid. B+

JUNGLE- true story of 3 guys going with a shady guide into the Amazon. Sounds like a great idea-not. Wow. Crazy story and the real photos at the end say it all. And a odd twist at the end too. Solid movie from the guy who portrayed Harry Potter - Daniel Radcliffe.

We are the Coopers-ugh. My sister had it on Netflix. Terrible fluffy crapola. So unbelievably bad it made me wanna kick their TV in.

Blade Runner 2049 - wow. REally solid. A little hard to follow but i got it and liked it. Good movie and a great sequel.

All classics, I'm really getting into space odyssey, they say it's the type of movie you really have to study, hundreds of different clues. If you go on youtube they have people picking it apart like a jigsaw puzzle, it's even playing at a theatre up the street from me. I like the dennis hopper scene in apocalypse, if you look close you could even see Al there, he's an extra, I think that's what he meant when he said he went to nam lol.

I've actually never seen 2001: A Space Odyssey. Got to put that on my list of classics to watch.

It's so in depth, the first time you see it, you'll be confused, you have to watch it at least five times plus have it explained. It's sponsored by IBM and has so many hidden meanings.
There's one scene where a lady has her jacket on the chair she's about to sit on. Then when they break away from the chair and go back its gone. Everyone thinks its just a studio mishap until you hear a voice on a speaker alerting everyone about a missing jacket.
It's mostly filmed in england with kubrick directing it, was named one of the top 25 movies to see of all time.

Be careful what you say around the Hal 9000, its an over-sensitive jerk, and can also read lips.

2001: ASO is one of the greatest films ever made. I just recently showed it to my gf since she had never seen it before. You should watch it at least 2 times just to absorb everything that is going on in the film. The first and last 20 minutes of the film contains ZERO dialogue. And try to look for and listen to hidden background things like the "missing jacket" Skinny mentioned, plus a few other things. It was shot entirely at Shepperton Studios just outside of West London. Carl Sagan and NASA were involved as consultants, and Kubrick was inspired for the film by a 1960s Canadian documentary, Universe.

I just watched it in 70mm, amazing what an experience. There's a book, and a lot of videos explaining the cues and clues.

To me, the monolith represents the presence of another form of intelligence (like a god or higher power). This monolith is around to witness things in the history of all mankind.
The computer represents how humans have lost all personality and hal the computer ends up with more human emotions than people.
This could be representing the downward spiral of the human race as far as human qualities go.

It definitely is a story of human evolution and technology evolution (AI) and that specific relationship. The monolith is a higher being (alien/god?).

The monolith is open for interpretation, just like most of the movie. There's people out there that make things more than they are, they really belive that kubrick was leaving thousands of clues, I don't buy it. The basic message is pretty simple, it's about the history of people and how there was something there to witness the whole thing.

Kubrick talked about it in a Playboy interview back in the 70s. He said that he didn't want to say what the monolith was exactly. It was better to hear all the possibilities and leave it open. It was more intriguing that way. The book by Arthur C. Clarke is more precise about it.

I didn't read the book, but I heard that it was written at the same time that the movie was being filmed. This shows that the movie wasn't exactly based on the book, but something that is similar. The monalith is almost like the ending of the last sopranos episode.

I'll have to catch it on a Saturday when my wife is working - she's not a sci-fi fan even a little.

im back - saw star wars - return of the jedi again. it wasn't as bad the second time around and it was free.

jumanji 2-not as bad as i thought. not as funny either. they ruined jack black making him a woman. not as funny. hart and the rock weren't as funny as they could've been. a decent story and tie-in to the original.

daddy's home 2 - wow was it bad. no plot. just trying to out do each other. no idea why john cena is in it. he serves no purpose.

all the money in the world - wow. fantastic. not 100% real, but very solid considering they cut all the kevin spacey scenes and replaced them with christopher plummer. he is fantastic as getty. oscar nom is coming and a possible win. he was that good.
