  1. AxeMurderer Legend Cowboys

Finally got around to seeing The Hateful Eight.

Two-and-a-half hours of my life I'll never have back.

  2. Catfish Guest

i liked it till the end. another overblown, overhyped tarentino blood-fest movie.

  3. AxeMurderer Legend Cowboys

Too slow, too long, too ham-handed in the way characters were introduced, story-telling was clunky, acting was tepid...

    QT has lost his way.

  4. Catfish Guest

i never thought QT was that great to begin with. plus when you see him in person, omg, he's a trainwreck. way too big for his britches as my Dad would say.

  5. AxeMurderer Legend Cowboys

Loved Reservoir Dogs. REALLY loved Pulp Fiction. Thought "From Dusk 'Til Dawn" was good, campy fun. Thought "Inglorius Basterds" was underrated.

Jackie Brown, Kill Bill, Django, Hateful 8 - bleh.

first time i saw pulp fiction i hated it. my roommates thought i was nuts. a episode type movie is not a movie to me. it's like making a book a movie by chapters. no dice.

the over the top acting to me killed it. "royale with cheese" from travolta and 99% of his lines were over the top and not necessary. that's QT's style and i don't like it. i think he has a ton of talent, but just don't like his style.

  7. AxeMurderer Legend Cowboys

I think it had an "episode" feel because it was told out of order (so that the two stars - Travolta and Jackson were alive and together at the end). My guess is, if it was told in order, it probably would have felt less segmented.

don't think it's that great no matter how it's filmed.

halfway through - the fate of the furious. fell asleep in my recliner. the dialogue is as bad as it gets. the plot is as typical as it gets. ugh.

fate of the furious-wow was it bad. very little action stunts, which is the only reason why to watch this bad movies. thank God i saw it for free. typical plot movies have used for years and the dialogue was brutal. somehow it made $580 mil so far. it replaced one of the Star Wars movies as one of the biggest ever. Just proof that crap sells. D-

Going In Style - typical fun movie. Nice twist at the end and a good overall movie. Arkin is at his crockery best and Caine holds everyone together. Not bad for a 84 yr old actor! Nice cameos too by Matt Dillon, Ann-Margaret and Kenan Thompson from SNL. B+

A Cure for Wellness-more like a cure for the worst movie ever made. holy shit it was so confusing i had to look it up on wiki for an explanation and even they gave up and left out a ton of info. solid start of company trying to get back their CEO and looking to pin corruption on this young kid. kid goes to retrieve CEO from this wellness center in the Alps where nothing is what it seems. It's a little like Shutter Island. However the rest of it is moronic and the ending is so bad, i couldn't wait till it was over. Maybe the worst movie i've seen in 30 years. it lost $15 million too on budget vs ticket sales. no shit. F ------- X 100000

  10. AxeMurderer Legend Cowboys

Going in Style is a remake, right...?

  11. Catfish Guest

beats me. i saw it for free. never heard of it bf.

  12. AxeMurderer Legend Cowboys

Thought I remembered it - Going in Style, 1979. George Burns, Art Carney, Lee Strasberg.

    Yep - a remake.

  13. Catfish Guest

gotcha. hope it was good. and with carney and burns, it was probably pretty funny.

Power Rangers movie. Was fucking awesome. Grew up with the original shit so I had to go see it. I very rarely go see movies in theaters but this one was worth it.

Miss Sloane-like a dull knife-dull, long and boring. political story about trying to get a bill passed that makes guns harder to get and more women involved. some twists and turns that are dull and lame. Although she was back to back Oscar nominated Jessica Chastain is not really fit to carry a movie by herself like a Jodie Foster could. That is part of the problem. Second, the topic isn't that interesting. C+

The Hatton Garden Job - a true story of 4 elderly men who stole more than $200 million from a bank deposit box company 3 years ago along with the help of a mystery man named XXX in the movie and "Cecil" in real life. The real Cecil was never caught and the other men involved were and did serve light sentences. The story telling was lame and at times i was lost. It's an English movie, so their accents were hard to understand too. Could've used more information about the robbery as it seemed to go so well and move of why and why the character played by Joely Richardson was. Very weak storytelling. B-

i sat through 1 hr of guardians of the galaxy 2 bf i turned it off. it was awful. awful directing and i had to go to wiki to find out wtf was going on in the damn movie. terrible.

the first one was a lot better but not that great. i think they are making a 3rd one where they meet the avengers. omg more comic book movies coming? PU!

  17. Catfish Guest

the comedian - wow. robert deniro must like making crappy movies but this one was a real stinker. just bad. can't believe deniro, devito and even a cameo by billy crystal were in this movie. PU.

king arthur and the legend of the sword.

read it will lose $150 MILLION! It was a total bomb and until it was a bomb, there was talk of a sequel. haha.

it was terrible. very fast editing in between scenes. you have no clue who people are and the story was very weak. most guy richie movie's are ok. this one was terrible. wanted to turn it off in the first hour but it was free, so i sat and suffered through another hour of crapola.

RocknRolla - another Guy Ritchie London East Enders gangster flick. You'd think after "Lock, Stock..." and "Snatch" he might be going to the well too often, but it's another strong offering. Good cast, too - Tom Wilkinson, Gerard Butler, Tom Hardy, Idris Elba, Thandie Newton.

i liked rocknrolla. i was shocked that i liked it.
