2 of the better scary movies are The Conjuring and Insidius, both with Patrick Wilson. I think they had a 2nd also. Both good and not the same old kids movies Fish. If you'd watch em, I don't see how you wouldn't like em. I'd give both solid 4 stars if not a 5........ *YES*
igloo--i don't like scary movies. most ones now are some "spirit trapped in the house or dead wife of someone who lived there." it's all the same shit. the first one was way better. i didn't like the freeman part and the ending in this one. and daniel radcliffe aka harry potter had no business being in this film. i read they may make a part 3 - PLEASE DON'T!
It all depends on how the movie is done and who the actors are Fish. I would highly recommend both. They are not like a Scy Fy or Chiller movie with a bunch of no name kids that can't act......Both extremely well done...... As for the Scully movie, I saw on the news that many people that were a part of the real tragedy say they didn't tell the truth about the crash and a lot of it was made up. It was also made to make the airlines look bad for interviewing Scully about the crash and saying he could of made it to the airport. Which never happened. So a ot of it was made up by Eastwood or whoever wrote the movie. Many of the real people involved are not happy with the movie. So as usual and most real life movies go, everything in it is not true......
Sully wrote the book the movie is based on. Who is mad? The co-pilot? The 4 stewardess, including the 1 who broke her leg, which was shown in the movie? who is mad? yeah i saw how the airline officials are pissed for being made out to the be the bad guys. ok so what. they needed a bad guy-your it. Who was part of the real tragedy? the passengers who he saved? i don't get that comment at all. they were strapped down in their seats. how do they know what happened in the cockpit? like i said in REAL LIFE there was a scene Eastwood didn't film of the families of the survivors in a room and thanking Sully for saving their Dad, Mom, Aunt, Uncle, Sister or Brother. They were overcome with thanks towards Sully and the co-pilot for saving their loved ones. Unless he's a liar, the black box told how calm he was during the crash etc. To me that's the film. He never wavered from being calm to going bat-shit crazy like most of us would've when the crash was going to happen. The only person who can tell if the movie is fake is the co-pilot as he was there too. the 4 stewardess were strapped in their seats. i don't believe a word from anyone else besides the co-pilot.
igloo-how many horror movies, even done well, have come out since 2000? i bet over 30! to me, it's the same old shit. i don't like scary movies and the ones that i've seen, the ending is explained in words as some paranormal event etc. NO THANKS.
You can believe what you want Fish. I'm just relaying what was said about the movie on national t.v. I'll try to get a hold of the co pilot for ya......
the 1 thing in the movie i am shocked with was Sully didn't want recognition for what he did. Now that is something i would believe to be faked. Now if he was out there in the movie winning awards and meeting the President that's different. Sully didn't want anything for doing his job. The movie stays true to that, so im dying to here what was so fake about saving 155 lives.
You'd have to ask all the people involved in the incident. Again, just relaying what was said on national t.v..............Do you actually think I'm making this stuff up? *NO*
i just googled 4 articles from passengers who all praise Sully's actions and 2 saw the movie and said it was as close as they remember to being true. im not saying you made up anything, but if my life was saved by a pilot, i wouldn't be bashing a movie about him. i would be kissing his ass for saving my life!
Brooklyn. Very well done movie - highly recommended (if you can put away your super heroes and car chases for a couple hours).
the finest hours -- crazy what happened to them. the rescue was pretty simple and not really filmed in great suspense and there was little dialogue during the rescue. kind of lame film making. it was ok. i expected much more out of it. B-
That was a true story and the largest class action suit, $333 million, in U.S. history...... Here is a question: Might be an easy one.......What was the name of the town the lawyers were representing?
Neither do I. That said, Erin Brokovich was a very good movie and she was dynamite in it. Can't go through life just being a hater.
