latest movies you saw?

  1. oh, these latest posts remind me - i don't get tarantino's infatuation with uma thurman. she does nothing for me. she's a mediocre actress and her looks aren't good enough to make up for it.

travolta dies though? he gets shot when he is in the apt by bruce willis?

and what was in the damn briefcase?

    uma - nice rack. haha.

royale with cheese. sam jackson is in more movies and commercials than anyone. he's a hooker and hollywood is his pimp. haha

  3. and while we're at it, i'll use the discussion of pulp fiction to make a film recommendation.

both pulp fiction and raiders of the lost ark pay homage to a great noir film - kiss me deadly. if u haven't seen it, i'd say fix that.

  4. haha, great timing. cat, the "what's in the briefcase" question is what i'm referring to that raiders and pulp fiction pay homage to kiss me deadly for.

    just added in netflix. thanks.

lulz--ur still alive after my post above. haha. thought you would die of shock. if it was cutter, he may have died of shock. we don't seem to get along and he said i don't read all the posts i comment on. :p

and you mentioned my plane of death...

many people dislike celebs. when i give good reasoning for some of them on my plane, people agree with me. kind of like us agreeing on movies etc. so the plane becomes funny when i give rationale to why they made the plane in the first place. people laugh at it or laugh at me. at least it's fun.

  7. cat, my only issue with your post was the 79.9% thing. i'd like to think u disagree with at least 80% of my opinions :)

  8. Catfish Guest

more like 89% but it's the christmas season so i took off some. hhahaha

    i added that movie...looks awesome.

the 1 movie you recommended still has a long wait. the other with roy schieder was awesome. the end when the 2 guys walk in the cantina was brilliant.

  9. lol thanks.

ah, sorcerer. yes, i agree - the ending of sorcerer is absolutely brilliant - one of my favorite endings of any film i've seen. by comparison, the ending of the wages of fear is utter garbage (but the rest of the movie is great).

    glad u enjoyed it :)

Uma has two things going for her [ahem], as Cat alluded to.

I believe she and Tarantino were also dating for a while. I hear she is supposed to be very intelligent, but I haven't seen proof of any IQ tests or MENSA memberships or anything...

Yes. But what the final (end) scene of the movie? Him and Jackson walking out of the restaurant that Roth and Plummer attempted to rob.

  12. Catfish Guest

    true.

i did see tarantino is brilliant. IQ of like 180. somehow that ditz sharon stone has an IQ of around 180 too. i wanna see their tests. haha

    uma - (O)Y(O)

  13. Running Scared (2006)

it has some implausible elements, but all in all, i enjoyed this one. well worth watching.

ironic that it includes a scene of the star driving erratically at high speed, crashing into stuff (since the star is paul walker).

i like the other running scared with billy crystal, gregory hines and jimmy smits. funny ass movie.

finished my mini-series the men who built america. awesome.

best line from it - the combined wealth of jo morgan, john rockefeller and andrew carnegie was combined valued at 1 trillion dollars today or the more than the top 40 Of the wealthiest people today COMBINED!

    BILL GATE WHO?

    MARK ZUCKERBERG?

    hahahaha

I own 'They Live', and it is one of my favorite shitty movies of all-time and I have probably quoted it as much or more than any other movie I have watched.

You have to simply dumb down to enjoy it, and for me that is not always a long drop.

  16. aha - i knew i had recognized one line in it from here - i can now assume it was u that quoted it :)

... and i'm all out of bubblegum.

sadly, to me, that was the high point ;)

LOVED "They Live." Far from a great movie, but a definite guilty pleasure. The fight between Roddy Piper and Keith David in the alley was friggin' EPIC.

axe--someone posted that fight someone on here or the old cbs boards. it was epic. better than some boxing movies fight scenes. haha

saw the new planet of the apes movie. dawn of the planet of the apes. not what i expected. better than i expected. not bad at all. better than those sequels when they just show up in LA in a rocket ship? what?
